Created for an upcoming promotion for Maketto. These are the final four designs, and I had designed about 5+ other ones, from super minimal to a busy collage. Truth be told, I was getting frustrated and designing all over the damn place. These are the results after a quick phone call with my boss, where he said that I was letting the information overcloud the cards, and that if I stuck to the branding then I’d be fine. I’m paraphrasing because my mind is mush after working a three day food festival, but either way I feel good about these. Sometime it helps to start fresh. A proper night’s rest would probably be helpful too.
When your chef friend casually mentions that he’s going to do a restaurant popup and might need a logo and ten minutes later you present him with three options, including research about the wildflowers that are specific to the shenendoah region.
My design for a special event at PX - our former sommelier John Wabeck is bringing his Pittsburgh Gin Club to PX for one night, next Tuesday March 28, 6 pm - close. 8 gin cocktails for the gin aficionado. Reservations: barpx.com
