@somewhatfiltered It actually tastes pretty good! My mom likes experimenting with food so we do things like that on occasion, haha. Things we learned: Make the pearls early and let them soak in sugar water for a while--they retain more flavor that way. Use half a mug of hot water to make the tea, then add the pearls and cold water (or milk, if you want milk tea). Add sugar after you taste--we added sugar before my sister added pearls and it was too sweet. Fresh lychee isn't strong enough to flavor the tea. Yakult (or off-brand equivalents) work well though! The tea will be warm, even after the cold water and Yakult. You can probably cool it down more, but it's also pretty good warm-ish as well. Oh, and also what I learned: don't drink green tea boba with lots of pearls an hour before you have to go to bed. I make too many bad life choices lol.
