It’s okay to feel weird about it! Rejecting purity culture doesn’t mean you do away with all feelings surrounding sex. The ambivalence is normal - I experienced that too (and ps: I was 26). ;)

I feel weird about the whole losing it basically casually thing. since I always assumed I would at least wait for a relationship. but I'm 24 and have only gone on two dates ever and never kissed even and everyone is too fundie or too non-believing like where my other heretical unicorns at??? but at the same time I don't know what I'd gain from waiting for that at this point? since I would value it with someone I love with or without previous experience with someone I didn't, and thinking I wouldn't is a remnant of that culture and not a personal ethic and I just kind of realized that. I am a bit concerned about forming feelings beyond casual since we crushed on each other before and also how to cut it off if I begin actually dating but I want to talk about that before starting, anyway.

and I do remember the tweets hinting at that and wanted to ask how it went and ask about the experience in general but felt it wasn't my place, haha. but it sounded positive and that's what I wanted to know so that's good!

i guess i'm kinda lucky in that my ventures into radical feminism have been guided by a lot of really great, really sincerely loving women on tumblr, not by folks like cathy brennan.

Oh my goood you and I had the same dream! Mine was this beautiful Iranian-American woman nicknamed K. It was so specific it was weird.
