so i did pick the different ychs for them bc i feel like it indicates their feelings in a way

gideon is protective angry and easy to get jealous whereas matthew is relaxed and easygoing idk

i like to think theres some symbolism with the way my sona is laying too like, constant fear of not being enough and scared gideon will leave them vs completely at ease with matthew and trusting

pondering my watchlist

a little overloaded on cdramas this march but i'm having fun.

the usual danger of show adaptations taking the teeth out of their webnovel sources has been working in my favor with pursuit of jade at least. for all that i'm missing some of fan changyu's more amusing petty violence, i am glad to see yan zheng be ummmmm not insane <3 for all that i could understand his bloodrage as a character, he's so exhausting in the webnovel once he's back in the army. cdrama yz is just a massive hater. and a feminist! good for him. all of the little cuts and tweaks have been pretty appropriate, and i do appreciate an accelerated romance for these two, it makes sense. very curious to know if (spoiler) will remain. probably not, knowing how these things go.

(also it took me embarrasingly long to remember ml here shares an actor with my beloved psychopath from kunning palace. in my defense, they have definitely done Something to his brows. they're so flat now. anyway it's always good to see zlh and his ever-so-slightly close-set eyes. endless charm point.)

generation to generation on the other hand... what a shame to lose all that lovingly crafted gore... no severed limbs? and the cannibalism dialed back to nothing? what a waste!!! at least cai zhao still gets to have fun. no matter the format we enjoy the days of our jianghu lives. little lord mu's actor makes me laugh.

i need to finish watching how dare you though... that one has been charmingly faithful, i think. great cast. lovely costumes. nicely maintained balance between drama and comedy.

ah... just waiting for the deng hua xiao adaptation. i won't like it. but i will be seated for it.

"Give CC a fat fucking tail" but not much of a long tail, but more or less a short and bubbly one.

and then another thought of possibly making him more sticky themed, but not like entirely his design. sub somekind of a sea-slug design of somekind

Like, literally nothing would change about CC's design as is, just an optional tail and slightly decorated sigils on his body.

One of the things i've made about his anatomy is that he feels like a plush, squishy kind of feel. almost like an oobleech kinda thing.

not that adding sea slug/slimy details/tints changes what he is, he's still the same kid i've made and raised the first time I ever drew him seriously.
