realizing “Jesus of Suburbia” fits my Starlight way too well.
“Jesus of Suburbia”- being a maverick of such in a suburban setting with mental illness
“City of the Damned”- Our Town and such
“I Don’t Care”- her revenge on Twilight and rage issues
“Dearly Beloved”- slowly coming to terms with repressed memories and redemption
“Tales from Another Broken Home”- acceptance and heroisim
when Rosie Darling said “now that you’re gone it’s my fault, I’m so lost, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry” and Gracie Abrams said “and I know you said that we’re not talking but I miss you, I’m sorry” and Taylor swift said “this is me swallowing my pride standing in front of you saying I’m sorry for that night”
I'm listening to 'Part of Me' by Katy Perry...
... and thinking about Korra.
Guys. This song.
"This is a part of me that you're never gonna ever take away from me."
Bending is a part of Korra that she'll always cling to, no matter what. To her, it's part of her identity. She'll hold on to that.
I'm basically comparing everything to Korra at the moment.
