We’ve been looking at lighting, too. I also made a No Boob Lights rule. No half-domes with a central finial. I can’t look at them without seeing boobs.
Boob lights are also the worst. Down with boob lights! They give bad names to boobs!
Yes! Like those lights say to me “We can’t make up our mind and really don’t want to make a statement with our light so we are just gonna go super BLAND!!” I hate them. It reads as contractor grade/bad house flipper and just looks cheap even if they aren’t.

if i was close to her at all, i would definitely try and use that connection. we were in the same circles and same design studios a lot but it never really got past being classmates. she was easy to find because she has a unique name.
if i move to the area i might try and reach out but right now it would be more like, “hey! remember me? we had studio together a couple times and went to the same parties bc the architecture class was only 100 kids and we talked about baseball sometimes? no?? we had the one project freshman year where our group stayed up for like 3 days straight because it was full of overachievers and we were all hallucinating at the end? ring a bell? okay...well, i was randomly stalking you on social media after like 5 years of forgetting you existed and saw you bought a farm in the area i want to relocate to! isn’t that funny? haha. congrats by the way! okay well, if you needed some help taking care of those chickens or getting things ready for the spring, i’d be willing! no? you’re good? k thx bye!”
