What’s the idea of a song?

Are you curious of what a song is? Do you want to find a deeper meaning to it? My friend, I shall tell you what a song is based on my creative knowledge.

The lyrics aren’t merely lyrics just to compose a song. The lyrics could hide something deeper than what you hear. As you listen to the song carefully, you suddenly felt a sharp stroke within your heart. Hearing those words, phrases, or statements made you feel something. 

The rhythm and the beat also make up a song. The adrenaline it give you when playing a song is caused by these. The rhythm could be slow of fast. The beat could be catchy or weird. Either way, these comprise the soul of the song.

Of course there will never be a song without the composer, the music players (drummer, pianist, guitarist, you name it!) and the instruments. You’ll never have the idea or message of the song without the composer. You’ll never know if the song really is a song without someone playing it. You’ll never  be able to identify the instruments used in the song if there are no instruments, haha.

Songs are distinct to each other because of people. Some people love this particular genre, some are not. Some hate these because it’s sensual, some love it. Some folks love sick beats, some prefer calm and slow ones. At times, debates occur about which generation of songs is the best. But my dear friend, no one can answer it correctly and perfectly because we have different tastes in music.

Now why there’s a song? Maybe it exist because there are composers and music players. True, but songs inspires us and gives us the drive to express ourselves.There will always be a song that will tell your story. It could be about your current situation or your unforgettable past.  It could also paint the emotions that you feel or you want to feel. Or it could just be something that we always hear from the radio, the Internet, basically our daily lives.
