What character do you find more funny your fandub silver or saurkraut
Def Sauerkraut. While I don't dislike my Silver per se, it's def not a character I would do today, since it came from a place of self-depreciation that was a little too personal, and could be personal to other people and encourage them to self-depreciate in turn. Sauerkraut, at least to me, is the same joke of a sad little guy taken to such an exaggerated extreme that it can't really encourage people to trivialize their own struggles like Silver could.
Like, a LOT of people can relate to being tired all the time but not able to sleep because they're depressed, but I don't think a lot of people can relate to having their brother steal their six wives and leave all at once in a party bus. Sauerkraut's experiences are less tactile, less real, and as a result people can laugh at the absurdity of it all instead of at themselves. Plus Sauerkraut has the added benefit of having gradually built an insane but consistent lore, something Fandub!Silver never could have done since all of his jokes were focused inward.
This isn't to say I hate Fandub!Silver or the experience of participating in my first fandub, because I wouldn't trade that for the world. More that my comedy has gotten a lot better since then, and I very much see Sauerkraut as an evolved, superior execution of the Silver concept.
