Ours Is a Lost Story
(Inspired by the unpublished chapter of Noli Me Tangere, Chapter XXV: “Elias at Salome”)
A part to complete a whole,
A story we’d never know
A story of two loving soul
Unwritten, forgotten, forgo
Forget, you, a love so mad
And futile; I told you once
If I, If only I had
Had I given a chance
And now I cannot get over
Our story; of love never transpired
Requited, untold forever
Less they know, a writer expired
My creator, oh but a dead man
A hero to save, spared me no ink
If not for this love, made me undone
Like sweet nectar I cannot drink
Oh sky inks crossed to blue ending
In the oblivion where we don’t matter
My lover, ours is without mending
Touch me not, oh but our lost chapter
