Sonny Boy: A Memoir by Al Pacino

My brother and I consider Al Pacino one of the greatest actors of his generation. We love his movies. My brother has watched them all, I've watched a good number of them. On my way back home after the ALA Annual Conferences last June (2025), I stopped at bookstore at the airport and saw this memoir. I had to get it for my brother and so I bought the hardcover book exited about it. I gave it to my brother and asked him to lend it to me after he read it.

This is one of the books that kept me company as I took care of my dad at his apartment. I would read and talk about it with my dad, who also liked Al Pacino's work. I loved this memoir because he was so candid. It was an honest conversation between him and me (the reader). He was open and honest about his life and life choices, the friendships and the craft. It was such a great read!

If you like Al Pacino's work, then you will enjoy reading the memoir.

Currently working analyzing Sonny Boy, and I might start posting them soon. Either I'm gonna post them episodically, then combine everything at the end for a more comprehensive analysis. Or I might just do the latter.
