I know, but when the main actor you’re watching something gets his throat ripped out five minutes in then tries to eat his wife’s foot there’s always a moment of shocked silence.  Bonus points when said actor’s character shares his name so it’s not hard to picture he genuinely got zombiefied.

The best thing, in Pippa’s opinion, about sleeping for a hundred odd years was the books. To go to sleep and wake to shelves upon shelves of new books? Why it was enough to distract one from reality of living among creatures who’s existences were such fleeting moments in the vastness of immortal life. It was because of this that Pippa found herself wandering the library, fingers trailing the shelves, nose deep in a book, so absorbed that she nearly collided with another being.

Whatever the relationship between Lancelot and Galahad was, and whatever it turned into -- and I think Jenkins would be incredibly, incredibly private about the matter -- I think he told Eve, at least the most important parts 

. Someone would need to know just how incredibly compromised he was.  Jenkins would stand up, and he would fight.  But what they were would always be there.  Eve is his guardian.  she would need to know.

It wasn’t often that Benedict would find himself alone, no one watching him for his own safety, or with other regents to discuss business. No, Benedict finally found an hour or so to sit and enjoy a tea outside a cafe and watch people walk by.

The seat beside him empty, the regent let his guard down slightly and leaned back and enjoyed the peace of not being pestered.
