the  ride  here  was  pretty  smooth.  for  it  being  the  first  time  that  he  was  on  a  winged  lion,  he  held  on  pretty  nicely.  hell,  him  and  jezebel  even  performed  tricks  up  in  the  air.  maybe  he  was  meant  for  this  place  after  all.  after  climbing  off  of  the  stead  and  walking  around,  he  found  one  of  the  half  gods  to  see  what  they  were  up  to.  “do  you  have  a  favorite  so  far?”  people  always  had  favorites.  parents  that  said  otherwise  were  lying.  “kind  of  cool  that  the  half  gods  had  named  them  too.”  not  that  he  would've  been  able  to. / @sonofstorms

“ah, what’s this about?” forest was taking a rare mid-day nap, having always viewed it as lazy and unproductive of himself. However, these days he seemed to be in a bit of a slump, not entirely himself. so many factors, none of which he felt comfortable to face right now.

his fox companion, kiko, bounds up behind her charge, stretching as she curiously looks up at hugo. “is everything okay?” he quickly reprimands himself for such an informal greeting, offering a respectful bow.

"you're here early." by nature, forest was early to rise. knowing not everyone was like him, he decided to wait for a reasonable time before he began getting the grill ready for their barbecue to end the summer with a bang. it was a years-long tradition within their pantheon, to send off the warmer months. this year just felt... different, given their losses, and it being the first time forest was the host.

"i don't expect to see much company today, outside of you and mai." he flashes a tiny smile, nodding as he sets up one of the tents with a soft grunt. he wasn't physically the strongest, but he was capable. "i've had them ship something special over too, i think you'd like it."
