he was only forcing himself to walk through turkmenistan, a place he was considerably weary of, especially the southern half where they were currently stationed. the northern parts were mongol territory now, but they'd only just passed the capital into the karakum desert. the prince had been forced to remove his turban a day into the journey, and now it hung uselessly around his horse's neck. the thick deel he wore had been discarded as well, in favour of a thin pink cashmere short with an open neckline (and gods forbid a breeze roll by anytime soon), the cloth balled up and thrown into a travelling pack.
glancing over to his partner, he groaned louder than was necessary, stopping dead to lay flat on his back in his horse's shadow.
