#sonography school update

Haven't updated, but the Sonography clinicals have been great. Except the first day, in which I didn't even arrive because I got out of bed so late it was embarrassing. lmao

But I already made up for the lost day this week. It's been great, this is a very dynamic and fulfilling profession, this has been my impression thus far. Unfortunately where I live it's a very underpaid career, though (around less than $20/hr is the average after having some experience, usually starting out at around $11/hr is what I've discovered so far [Puerto Rico]).

I'm so scared about my first day of ultrasound clinicals tomorrow. It will be a 10 hour (unpaid) workday, basically. I've never worked longer than an 8 hour shift in my LIFE. I wouldn't be struggling with this if it weren't for the fact that I have Crohn's disease and my health has been doing poorly in recent months. I hope I can survive it and not have to come home early, or have a panic attack or something. I've put a lot of time, energy, and above all, money, into this. I don't want to lose now that I'm so close to the finish line. :(

Sonography school update:

Omg I am only two assignments away from catching up! I missed three weeks of class after my dad passed away, and I thought I'd have to drop out of this term, but I managed to catch up. Just in time! Sí se puede. ✨

Ok so my Gynecological Sonography class professor didn't receive THREE of the assignments I spent HOURS writing, and then she told me to send them through the Canvas platform, so I did, DAYS ago, and she hasn't responded to me whether or not she received them. Well, today the classes are removed from my Canvas dashboard since the final day was yesterday, and I have yet to receive ANY communication from her about whether or not she received my assignments. I am so scared because without those, my grade was at 62%, so a failing grade, because she had put 0s on those assignments that she didn't receive. I have the e-mails so obviously I have the evidence that I DID send my assignments, at the correct date and all, so if she never changes that 62%, I WILL go and protest because what the actual fuck.

I hate how these professors at college are constantly on our asses about checking our institutional e-mail inbox, and yet, they fail to check theirs! Wtf... I am so angry. I better not see that fucking 62% as my final grade.
