Thomas was running a fever that day when she picked him up at the daycare before heading to the play area where she knew Abel was.  Her lips against her youngest’s forehead placing a small kiss, she felt the heat radiate from his small form.  “I am sorry, Thomas, mommy will make it better.” She promised with a soft voice.

Always she was happy to see her children after a long tedious day...she could still not operate on anyone as the cast was still handicapping her abilities...something she hated and as every day passed she counted the days down for the date of the removal but for now; it was all paperwork and administrative nonsense. But now her work was done, a smile formed allowing the apples of her cheeks obtain a red hue that cause the corners of her lips to curl when she saw the eldest of the two sons she shared with Jax playing at the table.  He had not noticed her standing there as she wanted to watch him for moment.  The innocence of a child was something to be cherished and in the life they were in; she tried to protect it from the chaos of the MC. 

Slowly she allowed her foot falls to take her towards her step-son, the child born to another but one she raised as her own.  He was still busily building with the Legos when she finally spoke.  “Having fun my little man?”  She asked as she placed a kiss on his cheek before sitting in one of the small children’s seat as he continued to play.
