Sandy. I ever expected the conversation that I had when I pass this record store on Melrose. It’s one of those things, when striking up conversations with people. it’s often fear that holds me back from doing this. But as I walk past and noticed this amazing store, I knew that I had to just ask the question. “Tell me about your store”. For over an hour, Sandy talks about the benefits of analogue music compared to digital music; the importance of exposure to analog technology and the damage that digital technology makes on the human brain; the importance of real conversation and the insincerity of most peoples’ questions. My brain is so filled with information and body is still receiving from the emotion of the conversation. I truly cannot express everything that happened in the last two hours. I do remember that this store is the oldest store on Melrose. Sandy has owned this record for the last 37 years and his collection consists of over 700 000 final records. Yes, that a quarter of a million records. His mother was an author of two book on music and a professional pianist. Sandy was, at one stage of his life a professional violist, when that was...well we did not get to that part of the conversation. So, if your ever on Melrose Place in Hollywood, go say Hi. Just be prepared for what may be a long monologue. . . . . . . . . #agameoftones #ig_shotz #sony #sonya6000 #portraits #portrait #portraits_ig #pixel_ig #portraiture #portraitmood#life_portraits #postthepeople #insta_bw#urbanphotography #streetphotography #streetexploration #urbanandstreet #roamtheplanet #DOP #Cinematographer #BWphotography #photostory #travelportrait #sonycamera #SonyRAW
