when it falls. ( event )
Another day she had been waiting for, and one she could conquer fearlessly.
All her knowledge and skills put to the test again and again, seemingly nonstop in such a toxic environment. Saving the innocent. Protecting the weak. Fighting the beasts who tried with all their might to rip apart the very concrete she stood on. These had all been few of many components to which made up a mighty warrior who would one day face bigger challenges in their prime. The familiarity between the chaos back home and the events taken place in Hive City were uncanny, to say the least. The line which separated the two worlds had been blurred ever since her arrival. From war and discrimination rampant in recent months, to unholy monsters being let free among the city streets… Nothing has changed. It seems like nothing ever will.
But by her own sweat and blood would Blake try her very hardest to make sure she would change something, have it be in this world, or her home.
It was from a crumbling rooftop that she would stay and keep watch of two people who she just so happen to stumble upon. Both had been unknowingly been fighting alongside each other, or perhaps it was best to assume that they decided to unanimously ignore one another’s presence despite the close proximity during their time spent clobbering the hoard of drones. It worked out no matter what choice they made together.
In all honesty, Blake wasn’t sure whether or not to be surprised that she actually recognized one of the two individuals fighting below even with such… Interesting modifications. Was it fate? Good timing? Or maybe bad, considering the air between her and the girl had not necessarily been cleared of whatever issues they had with one another. Blake decided in the end that she didn’t much care for the reasoning. Instead she patiently waited for the two to annihilate the wave of drones, taking her own opportunity to strike. Silently the huntress leapt down and landed behind Maggie, arms folded and demeanor cool.
An unnecessary entrance for the record, but how could she resist?
“Holding up well?” Her attention quickly turns to the redhead, nodding his way in acknowledgement.
“The both of you, of course.”
