So, Hwarang finally ended and I felt the need to share my final thoughts:
The show remained captivating throughout and had actual character growth (except for Ah Ro, sorry she began annoying me later on). There were many obstacles face by young beautiful men as they were lost in their own ways. All of them, especially Ban Ryu, Hansung and Soo Woo, overstepped pre-set limits to explore morality for themselves. I admired that through unification and destruction of power, these men were able to achieve the best. Specifically, I admired the forgiveness in Sun Woo and the endurance of King Jinheung. I’d also like to add how these characters shared so much in common. Literally, both of them were “hidden” from their true selves for most of their lives and presented with opposite personalities, but in the end, their combined efforts set their identities straight. I really enjoyed it and the 5000 plot twists!
I start my new excavating/gas work job tomorrow, 15 an hr. starting, not to shabby!
