Hah! As it happens, I am eating blackberries RIGHT NOW! (They were "Buy 1 pint, get 1 free" at the grocery store, so we got...a lot :) ) And I gotta say, I don't really get the whole zombie thing, but that Newsflesh series sounds like an interesting premise... And yay for Kinsey 5s! :D

Oh, I’m jealous! Blackberries are usually a bit expensive here. I’ve tried growing them (my family already grows raspberries and strawberries in our backyard), but it didn’t work out very well.

Yeah, one of the reasons I like the series as much as I do is that it’s less of a zombie story than a post-zombies political thriller; zombies aren’t the big news anymore. Also the fact that the world/characters are pretty genre-savvy to the traditional zombie stories (I have read too many zombie novels, if it’s not clear).

They’re not, like, the most amazing literature ever, but it did say ‘favorite’ series and not ‘objectively best’ series. :)

Oh, yes, Butler, without a doubt, was one of the genre’s most talented authors ever. Xenogenesis is one of the very few books I have both a physical copy of and a copy on my Kindle. I’m overdue for a reread of it, as soon as I finish slogging through Kushiel’s Dart.

Eew on the four years of same trouser wearing.. although I should talk.. my sims usually wear the same thing all the time. I excuse it by imagining they have multiples of their outfits. I myself will buy 4 or 5 of the same pants or shirt if it's really something I like.

Well, presumably they’ve been washed at some point. I do have CC washing machines! Three probably does have four pairs of identical trousers--he seems like that type of sim. :P Anyway, I shouldn’t talk either, I wear identical pairs of black jeans all week, every week.

Most of the mascots are really attractive under their ridiculous outfits, though. At least, mine seem to be. It's almost like a law or something.

Most of my default faces are Pooklet’s, so I’m sure he looks amazing under the llama head, it was just kind of hard to carry on Irene’s date when he had to stop and start cheering every five seconds. >_< Hopefully Irene’s still interested in him after graduating, because now I really do want to see what’s under that llama head.

dont take it the wrong way, but I only heard Americans answer this question like that lol. Someone ask me that question, ill say im Canadian. They have to ask me about my ancestors to know my ethnicity. :)

Well, my blog specifically states I’m a New Yorker, so it can already be inferred I’m American. And, considering I had just posted a picture of myself when I received this ask, one could assume anon was asking purely about my genetic makeup. Which is what I answered. :)

Aw yeah, I’m not too big on neon. I actually like most neon colors, but they have to be used in moderation (like accents or trim or something). I can’t use entire walls or couches in bright neon colors, it hurts my eyes. :P

Any neons or super saturated colours like the blue screen mentioned. Anything else is fine. If I could make my own palette, I'd make my colours muted and dusty.

Same, I don't use a lot of bright shades. That pink and purple get tossed, and usually anything yellow or orange goes too (I love a good gold or burnt orange, tho).

Yes! I’m a big fan of orange and yellow, but I’m pretty particular about the shades. I love gold/mustard yellows and burnt oranges, though. :D (Those are two of my favorite shades to wear in real life, too!) sullivanrandomness answered your question “Anyone else do this?”

Yes, there is a shade of purple that I refer to as bright/dark purple. It burns my eyes and I immediately get rid of anything in that colour!

I hadn't really thought about it before, but I do tend to delete dark green stuff x.x generally if there's a whole bunch of colours I restrict myself to one of black, white, brown, red, orange, yellow, light green, turquoise, light blue, purple, pink

Oooh, I love dark green! :3 But I find that it doesn’t always translate well in CC (especially furniture), so I wind up getting rid of it, too. Hahah, that’s what’s so cool about the community! Everyone has such different color preferences. When I see people like @lilithpleasant or @dirk-dreamer use pink, purple, and pastels in their decorating, I always tell myself I should give it another try! YES! ANOTHER PERIWINKLE HATER! I thought it was just me, like honestly I see that color everywhere and I thought I was weird for not liking it. Like, it’s not eye-searingly bright, it even looks like a relaxing color, but I just hate it?! And of course, missing-mesh-flashing-blue! How could I forget?

I hate certain shades of purple and turquoise. Unfortunately I do like light, bright AND dark colours, so there's far too much stuff in my Downloads folder.

Hahaha, I’m sure there’s too much in mine too! A lot of times it depends on the CC, some clothing/furniture/deco looks better in bright colors, and some looks better in darker colors. For example, I tend to use darker/muted colors for my build mode stuff, like walls and floors. But I don’t mind some bright colors in my bodyshop folder or decorating. :)

I'm like this too. I always discard pastels, most neons, all oranges, browns and yellow-ish shades of green. >.<

I love orange, brown, and green in real life, but I’m pretty picky about the shades I used in my TS2 game. At least we know we have some semblance of self-control over our downloads folder - we can cull the colors we don’t like! :P

That neon green. It hurts my eyes. Also that bright pink can go. I like pastels, but not bright, or neon colors.

Oh God, yes, that neon green! I don’t know how some people are able to use such bright color palettes in their games. A lot of the colors are pretty, sure, but my eyes! They burn! I sometimes wonder if it’s just my monitor, or I’m just getting old and my eyes can’t handle these things, haha.
