Jangmi took another look at her dazzling room and then headed over to her large vanity. Taking a seat, she checked her phone for the time and then applied some more blush on her cheeks. Not that the dingle head would even notice, but Jangmi didn’t care much about what he thought anyways. No, she looked good for herself. Then she made sure to add another layer of her sultry red lipstick, knowing that it was going to get smudged in a minute anyways. She was feeling a bit messy tonight though, so she didn’t mind too much.

Getting up from her chair she checked her phone again. 1:56am. Perfect. Almost time for her date. Jangmi re-tied the bow to her silk robes as she walked over to her night stand next to her fancy king size bed with the heavy luxurious curtains hanging from her canopy. She grabbed the candles and moved them over to her small glass coffee table and lit them. The last thing she needed tonight was for her stupid expensive curtains to catch fire while she was getting hit from behind. But she still needed to set the mood or else she wasn’t going to enjoy it.

There was a soft two knocks from her door and she swiftly went to her vanity again. Grabbing her favorite perfume, amber vanilla, she sprayed twice, once above her and then second on her wrist. Rubbing her wrists together, she was going to hurry to her door, but figured it was better to take her time instead. Fluffing her hair, Jangmi cleared her throat softly and then opened her door, leaning up against her door frame and shooting a sexy smirk as she looked up from her lashes coyly, “Hey there, big boy~” She winked and he chuckled nervously. But why wouldn’t he be nervous? He was a nobody who snuck into the castle because a pretty princess asked him to risk his life to hook up with her tonight. Jangmi reached out and grabbed him gently by his shirt and pulled him in as she opened the door all the way. 

“Don’t keep me waiting.” She tsked at him and he grinned back at her cheekily before giving her a passionate kiss, surprising her. Jangmi kissed him back and then broke the kiss so that she could close her door before anyone saw, but she froze when she turned away from her fuck boy only to make eye contact with the knight. Jangmi quickly shoved the fuck boy further into her room while stepping out of her room in one motion. Closing her bedroom door behind her, she quietly snapped, “How long have you been watching?” Then she shook her head, “Nevermind.” Jangmi crossed her arms,

a nosey knight in shining armor

location: spades kingdom, a lone broom closet on the third floor somewhere @sooincwn​

Chul sighed heavily to himself and wiped the sweat off of his forehead, carefully to not get any blood from his hands on his face. It wasn’t often that he had to kill within the palace walls in broad daylight and it was even less often that they’d put up a fight. Normally, he’d be more guilt ridden, but the fight that he had put up with and the amount of extra work that he had to do to keep all the noises that the man was making definitely worn him out. He was so stressed out from possibly being found out that he couldn’t even have time to process how angry he was at the Queen for throwing this demand on him so out of the blue and so urgently.

One moment he was tracking down suspicious royals and the next, he receives a text demanding that he immediately murder a witness. And like always, Chul had no choice but to do exactly as she said. No time for questions, just that the man was a witness and his lips needed to be permanently sealed and where the route the man was headed for escape. Chul had to scale the walls and enter through the balcony just to catch the man in time. Then he knocked him out before dragging him to the nearest closet to finish the deed. Only the guy was strong and woke up just as Chul closed the door behind him.

And after thirty minutes of struggling, Chul finally finished the task that the Queen had ordered him to do. But now, his next task was to somehow dispose this body without being seen. Chul groaned and tried to clean the blood off of his hands when he heard the door behind him suddenly swing open.

Chul whipped around and froze and his life flash before his eyes as the knight glanced behind him and at the bloody body on the floor.

with @sooincwn location: a restaurant in a diamond town

jiae is starting to regret every decision she has made tonight.

the fall harvest celebrations were promising—all the stalls lined along the streets, the music playing loudly in the square, the beautiful lanterns lighting up the night. jiae thinks she should have spent more time admiring the whole set up, or even chosen a different restaurant to grab a quick bite before participating in some of the festivities herself. maybe then she could have avoided this situation.

she has never done something like this before, nor did she ever imagine it would happen. with how image-conscious she is, jiae would quite honestly rather die than make a fool of herself in front of a crowd of strangers! but when the person standing beside her volunteers jiae for the drinking competition, her protests fall upon deaf, probably tipsy ears as she's ushered to the main table and pushed into the chair beside another girl.

she glances down the table at the other participants so far. as the restaurant owner explains the rules of the contest, a mixture of confident and thrilled faces greet her. jiae can’t relate; she's not much of a drinker, preferring to be in complete control of herself at all times. the last time she took more than a few sips of alcohol was... well... she can’t really remember, and she doesn’t know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing. 

shit. her palms are sweaty. distraction, she needs a distraction.

leaning over closer to the girl beside her, jiae whispers, "do you think it's too late to back out now?” ugh, she hates how cowardly that sounds of her. jiae clears her throat, hoping her anxiety isn’t leaking into her voice as she continues jokingly, “i mean, i don't know if i can beat that guy over there." she points towards the end of the table at a man who grips his mug, excitedly waiting for the minute he can start drinking.

on the wrong foot 

... this is certainly a first impression, huh? @sooincwn

ahyoung certainly didn’t visit the spades kingdom as she should. with all her favorite people residing in the hearts kingdom and most of her time being spent back in the clover kingdom for her training, she rarely got to visit the third kingdom. it’s not like she disliked it because she certainly didn’t. rather, it was the fact that she rarely had time to go. not only that, but even when she was able to visit, she’d use that time to do something else. 

however, she wished to visit the spades kingdom today. she felt like she owed her good friend yurye a visit, after all. with his assistance back at the hearts castle (along with her naïve ass thinking he was on the fourth tier with her rather than the actual prince of the spades kingdom), she felt it was necessary to pay him a visit. they were essentially friends now, right? she’d like to think they were. 

though it’s not her first time here, she still finds herself wandering around the grounds aimlessly. truth be told, she wasn’t planning on meeting the prince. she was just planning to arrive to the kingdom and possibly run into him, but that’s it. she just wanted to make sure she spent as much time around other kingdoms and not leave the spades feeling left out of her attention (not that they would care... but she still wants to make it fair). as she walks to the garden, she looks around herself to see if there’s anyone there who would notice her. fortunately, the garden seemed off limits... 

which was a relief. because these shoes were killing her. deciding to take a break of her walking around like a lost soul, she took off her heels and walked into the grass, sighing in relief now that her feet finally felt free. “ahh... this feels so nice,” she says with a eased smile, stretching her toes out freely as she decides to sit down on the grass, not at all minding what kind of dirt or grass would get on her gown. that is... until she spots a girl in the corner of her eye, approaching the garden. with wide eyes, she quickly stands up and tries her best to put on her shoes, but it was too late. she’s been caught... barefoot. 

“a-ah... i’m not a dangerous person, i swear,” she says with nervous laughter. “i’m just... relaxing... while on a visit...” which was true... but she sounds suspicious with how nervous she is. good going, ahyoung.
