For me, I like Isaval, Sophiava, and whatever Rory x Layla is shortened to. I think the dynamics of enemies to friends to lovers, besties to lovers, and top slacker/pranker x top student work really well as a whole group.

Having said that, I do see the appeal and evidence of Rophia, Valphia, and Lalyava. Certainly in the beginning episode, where Sophia's on the balcony and catches Rory's eye did make me think the show was going to push them as a couple. And Val and Sophia do have tension between them when they fight. And in Secrets Revealed, Ava comforting Layla when she's mind-controlled is very sweet.

ava is for sure whipping that snowball at you with 110% accuracy, sophia is doing it just for fun. and ava DOES have a matching jacket but my hc is that she keeps forgetting it everywhere cuz of her ADHD and also gets too excited to notice how cold she is sometimes anyways. sophia's gotta chase after her with her coat lmao

i thought it would be super cute to see layla in something oversized!! and rory is probs into winter sports so i gave him a fun snowsuit for snowboarding (?)

(im canadian but i don't know shit about winter sports smh)

Sophiava but Sophia finds Rory and Ava cuddling and gets jealous because she thought that was their thing, something special just for her and Ava to do with each other. Which leads to Sophia sorta pulling away from Ava which causes Ava to have a crisis because why is Sophia pulling away from her but no one else? Which leads to Ava clinging to Valentina again because Sophia didn't seem to be getting closer to Valentina compared to how closer she seems to be getting closer to everyone else.

All of the sapphires are sick of it. So they devise a plan to fix it but it fails and just seems to cause things to get worse. Which leads to Valentina losing her mind because Ava is clinging to her like she's Sophia and she's not equipped to handle it so she calls upon her Aunt to give the two detention until they fix it.
