The pseudoscience of eugenics is where much of the cruelty and oppression enshrined under far right religious ideology is reframed in scientific-sounding terms so that it can be sold to atheists, agnostics, and "spiritual, not religious" people. If you belong to one of these groups, you should make a conscious effort to learn about the history of eugenics and eugenicist rhetoric, because you have likely internalized more of it than you realize.
They want to force the Ten Commandment on kids in schools, but they won't hold the President of the U.S. accountable to a single one of them.
So like seeing someone drop that their entire community of friends will jaywalk across six (6) lanes of traffic to get to shul without pushing a button and watching the conversation just continue without pause about how people get to shul is why I'm an atheist why I lose my shit when people in this community pretend Jews don't have a problem with religious fundamentalism, the normalization of religious extremism, and that staunch atheism is "culturally imperialistic" or whatever when applied to Jews.
Jaywalking across SIX lanes of highway traffic twice every Saturday is fucking insane and it is an example of religious extremism. That is literally religious fundamentalism like that is the textbook definition of that. I don't care how comfortable or uncomfortable your community is with using electricity on shabbat. Are you people insane? You are risking your own and everyone else's life multiple times a Saturday every Saturday because of a rule written in a book by a guy (a GUY, not god) 3000 years ago. Do not do that shit and if you see people doing it or see people TALKING about it, call that shit out! Don't act like it's normal! These people are religious fundamentalists and they are risking dozens of people's lives for no fucking reason at all!
Non-religious people - when asked about your beliefs, do you usually say "I'm atheist" or "I'm not religious"?
"I'm atheist"
"I'm not religious"
I say both of these, it's pretty much 50/50
I say something else entirely (feel free to comment)
I don't think I've ever been asked the question before
I follow a religion, so this poll does not apply to me
