Sinestro falls of the bed with a soft ‘thud’ eyes blearily blinking open in baffled befuddlement. His ribs feel oddly sore, as if someone had been kicking them, but Arin doesn’t move in her sleep at all, and she shouldn’t shove him off the bed anyway. Not while he was asleep at least. He leans up on his arm and peers over the side of his bed, quickly getting his answer.
He’d forgotten Soranik had crawled into bed with them last night. The toddler was almost horizontal on the bed, head resting on Arin’s stomach and small body sprawling were he normally slept. She must have literally kicked him off the bed, he realizes in amusement. Such a strong little girl they had…
“Thaal?” Arin murmurs sleepily, staring at him in confusion from his place on the floor. “Did something fall?” Unconsciously she’s running a hand through Soranik’s hair as she continues sleeping peaceful, undisturbed with kicking him out of his own bed.
“I did. It seems Soranik decided to take over my half of the bed,” he says, lips twitching in to a smile of amusement. “She moves quite a bit in her sleep like I do. My ribs are rather sore.”
“I told you we shouldn’t let the baby sleep in bed with us anymore,” Arin points out with a sigh. “She’s getting too big.”
“She had a bad dream though!” Sinestro defends, knowing he indulges Soranik too much. Arin was…unimpressed by all the toys he kept bringing home to Soranik after missions and spoiling her with.
“Thaal. She just kicked you out of bed,” Arin says flatly, giving him a Look™.
“So?”
“Thaal.”
