If you wanna talk about OCs… top five Sorcha Amell facts??

alright shane first of all i would die for you so jot that down

now for the facts!!

1. she’s a battlemage/force mage hybrid that specialization in primal magic and creation magic. yea, she’s a mary sue, but who cares!!

the warden has canonically had like a decade to improve their skills and imo the tier list is something like the warden > the inquisitor (pre-orb removal) > hawke. but also the warden > hawke > the inquisitor (post-orb removal).

i wouldn’t go so far as to say sorcha is on the same level as, say, wynne or anders (she’s definitely not a spirit healer), but you’re not gonna die when she’s around—though you may wish you had. her aptitude for primal magic is second to none.

2. she starts origins as a really sheltered, naïve young woman who, while not an idealist, is much more optimistic than some of her party members. throughout the course of the story, she becomes more disillusioned and bitter as a whole. post-awakening, she’s on the fast track to becoming cold, standoffish, and closed off. she also develops more of a flat affect. sorcha does have a tender heart, but her walls have been up for a very long time and it would difficult to tear them all down. she’s very loyal to her friends and steadfast allies, but she no longer goes out of her way to aid the common folk unless some sort of bigotry is involved.

3. the human mage warden is canonically one of revka amell’s five children (who all turned out to be mages and therefore were all sent to different circles across thedas). revka is leandra’s cousin, making the human mage warden the hawke siblings’ second cousin.

i liked that tidbit and decided to expand on it. anwen amell is the only child from revka’s unnamed avvar husband’s previous (short-lived) marriage. revka adopts her and she is therefore technically the eldest amell sister and the eldest sibling overall. next is seoras amell, the eldest brother and eldest biological sibling. then there’s sorcha amell, the eldest biological sister and the third eldest sibling overall. then comes saoirse amell, the fourth eldest sibling overall. last but not least are the fraternal twins, sean amell (slightly older) and seanna amell, making them the youngest siblings.

i have a lot of interesting dynamics plotted out between them (except for seoras and anwen. i haven’t really developed them at all).

4. eiriol surana is sorcha’s first love (a classic rivals to friends to lovers), and even though they don’t end up together, they still remain dear friends and a lot of people mistake them for a couple (morrigan and leliana thoroughly dissuade people from thinking that).

5. sorcha was so distraught by bein taken to kinloch hold (she was only 6) that irving magically blocked her memories—he didn’t feel as though he had much of a choice; she was lashing out with her magic every time she had a meltdown and the templars were sick of it. she doesn’t remember anything about them, save for the fact that her father would sing her gentle lullabies and her mother would braid her hair. sorcha had never gotten to meet the younger twins; they hadn’t even been born until after she was taken to kinloch hold.
