me: i'll just check one thing online and then go to sleep

also me, 3 hours later: somehow learning facts I never knew I needed, comparing random stuff, and questioning every life decision that led me here.

The internet is a magical place. One minute you're looking up something practical, the next you're deep into a rabbit hole wondering why raccoons look like tiny criminals.

Honestly, finding interesting corners of the web is a hobby at this point. That's how I stumbled across soritia.net and immediately added it to my growing list of "sites I should spend five minutes on but somehow spend fifty."

My browser history looks less like a productivity tool and more like evidence in a very confusing court case.

Anyway, if anyone needs me, I'll be opening my 47th tab and telling myself I'm "doing research."

Tumblr culture is basically turning curiosity into a full-time job.

So, I Tried Solitaire… and Now I Live Here Apparently

I downloaded Solitaire thinking it would be a cute little “I’ll play one quick game while my tea cools” situation.

That was three hours ago.

My tea has evolved into a scientific experiment. My chair has fused with my body. I have seen 14 variations of a red 7 that I did not ask for.

And yet… I continue.

The Illusion of Control

Solitaire is basically gaslighting in card form.

At the start, it’s all:

“Yes, you are smart. You are strategic. You will definitely win this one.”

Five minutes later:

“Actually, no. Here are three kings and absolutely nothing else. Good luck emotionally.”

The Emotional Journey

Playing Solitaire is like going through the five stages of grief:

Denial: “This deck is totally winnable.”

Anger: “WHY is every card buried under the exact card I need??”

Bargaining: “If I win this one, I will stop playing forever.”

Depression: “I am trapped in a red-black alternation loop.”

Acceptance: starts new game immediately

My Cards Have Trust Issues

At this point, I believe my deck is personally against me.

Every time I get close to winning, it’s like:

“Oh, you wanted that card? Cute. It’s in another dimension now.”

Time Is Fake

Solitaire exists outside normal time.

You start playing at 6:00 PM. You blink. It is 2:47 AM. You have learned nothing except emotional resilience and how to emotionally negotiate with a digital queen.

I will stop playing Solitaire.

Tomorrow.

Probably.

After just one more game.
