Hair: Natural silver in hue and dusted with white highlights, it falls to mid neck in the front, and his shoulder blades in the back.

Eyes: A dark grey ‘white’ of his eye makes the moon white hues of each iris all the more vibrant. Strangely, they seem almost wolf-like in nature, though that could just be coincidence.

Height:  6'10 (208.28 cm)

Build: A militant style background, and strict upkeep have resulted in the sculpted muscle that makes up most of the Bowman's frame. Resulting in a tone that is well suited for agility, speed, and endurance.

Distinguishing Marks: 

Facial scar; Only about a year old, this wound was obviously left by a sword given it’s depth and path. It cuts down from his right brow, over the bridge of his nose, and down his left cheek almost to the jawline. 

Facial ink; intricate filigree like vines in dark grey ink adorn the right side of his face both above and below his right eye. 

Crest of the Wolf; Above his heart rests the bust of a wolf in black ink.

Common Accessories: 

Feather adorned hat; Rarely if ever seen without it, one might wonder if it’s removal or destruction would bring about the end of him with how attached he is to it. Weathered, but well cared for, it’s obvious that it’s been on every adventure the bard has had over the years.

Well made dragon scale collar; Stamped with a wolf’s head with an arrow in it’s jaws, the artisan made collar is of the bard’s own creation. An inch and a half wide black leather band circles his neck, with the outer surface wreathed in lavender hued scales from a dragoon’s signature armor. With a locking dog collar buckle at the back of the neck, and the crest of a dragon wrapped around an orchid at it’s front. The piece is both practical, and artistic in it’s design. The ‘d’ ring at it’s front also sports worry stone like pendant of a dark, night sky blue hue.

Silver orchid pendant; Strung from a sturdy chain and hangs low enough to kiss his collarbones, the pendant is as well worn as the holy symbol of a priest or paladin.

Lost in the woods; As one who hunts for his own food, leathers, pelts, and other materials for his craft. The bard is as much at home within the forests of the Shroud and the Coerthean wilds as he is within his cabin. It would not be far-fetched for him to cross someone lost, or having fallen victim to the erratic weather patterns or wildlife within those regions. Be it him happening upon someone while on a hunt, or having someone banging on his cottage door in want for help or shelter. Both are equally possible.

The Kind Traveler; The bard is not one to leave another at the mercy of fate, and even in his more ‘off the beaten path’ traveling it’s not an uncommon occurrence to come across another in need of aid. Nor is he hesitant to offer it.

Isolated Healing

The following is a rough draft drabble written through the POV of Maxia Caduceus. Enjoy!

         In the small time that he'd come to know it, the forest upon the highland's borders had become as much of a friend, and a second home. From the towering spruce trees, with deep green needled branches dusted in frost. To the trickle of the nearby creek, and the underbrush which offered a bounty unlike any other - provided one knew where to look.

Mushrooms, herbs, wild highland tea, medicines, even the odd find such as feathers, bones, or semi-precious stones; Even honey - today's treat which he'd salvaged comb and all from a fallen hive damaged by the winds of last night's storms. Unfortunately the calm weather in the wake of it's passing, had not lasted nearly as long as he'd expected... With a howling ferocity, and a blanket of white that threatened to take his vision. The simple foraging trip had now been turned on it's heel, and forced the Dragoon back in the direction he came. Even with the dark silver fur of the borrowed cloak wrapped tightly around himself, and the hood up to shield himself from the winds. The deep sinking cold sank into him like spears none the less, and made each footstep just a small bit heavier then the last. "Who or what was foolish enough to make you so angry?" the words, muttered and meant only for himself and the fury left his lips in a heavy cloud that was just as quickly whipped away from him. "If your going to unleash yourself upon the poor sod, could you at least help me get back home first?"

The winds only seemed to howl harder in response, a particular gust sending that hood of his flying backward and scattering violet and white into the air behind him like a frosted banner. Yet, there it was... only a few feet before him lie a tree with splintered branches and a trunk scored all the way down it's length by bestial claws. A sight that both flooded him with great relief, and brought a faint tint of a rose hued blush that even reached the tips of his ears. Why did that of all things, make such a good landmark... "Thank you, my fury..." the words were softly muttered as he reached back his hand to snap up the flapping hood and jerk it back over his head without a second thought. The cottage wasn't far now, a mere turn to the right and a few steps forward brought it's dark half buried walls finally into view. Moving a bit quicker at the promise of warmth and shelter, the distance between himself and the door was closed in the matter of a few short, small leaps. Though a few curt curses were uttered as his numbed fingers fussed with the lever until the door finally caved and swung open with a welcomed kiss of warm heat.

A swift click of heels marked his entry, before he spun and closed the door behind him with a click. The sheer cut of sound from the howling snowstorm, to the calm silence of the interior still took some getting used to, but spoke well of the bard's skill in it's construction. Still, a sigh of releif fell heavily from his lips and seemingly a bit louder then he'd thought as a dark Shilluete shifted near the hearth. Against the burning amber of the fire itself, the celestial beast seemed a black pitch in comparison, yet as the dragoon's eyes adjusted he returned those perked up ears and staring eyes with a gentle smile. "Thank you Fen, it's good to be home as well..." he didn't need to check the chair for the figure he knew to be within it, the wolf's presence on the floor alongside it was proof enough.    "Has he been there long?" the words, were kept gentle in their volume as he worked the cloak free, as well as his coat beneath it. Both then set upon the hooks by the door as he set to the task of unpacking his satchel - up until the wolf's soft whines pulled his attention back towards the fire. Backward pinned ears and a nosing nuzzle into the bard's arm did enough to convey his concern. It pulled a frown to his lips, and leaving the satchel as it was he instead drew closer to the familiar and his love until hsi fingertips could sink into the plush star dusted fur of the beast and calmly knead into the base of his ears. "Ease..." he murmured fondly, only to raise his eyes and take in the wight's form for himself. Positioned as if he'd collapsed, the bard's head was sank in against the upper corner of the chair. His face, concealed by his hat which had been pushed forward in the process. While the rest of him simply rested where it'd fallen as if he'd lacked the strength to move even an inch in his slumber. Thankfully that half open shirt showed his chest, and the ease in which he breathed set any immediate concerns to rest. Still the frown that formed was a heavy one, as the dragoon softly ran the lengths of his fingers down the wolf's snout in reassurance. Though be it for him, or the beast, was debatable... as he shifted to the hunter's side and moved to gently trail the backs of his finger's along the scar cut cheek. "What aren't you telling me?" the words were whispered, and echoed mentally across their connection as he gazed into the bard's closed eyes. His expression seemed so peaceful, and yet...

'Kilrae, you can't keep doing this. I'm not -like- you!'

The words came into his mind like a distant echo, and before he could even take in a sharp breath of air, his vision clouded and faded beneath the feedback.

A chapel's walls, illuminated by blue flame and flooded with black robed figures. Their chanting, seeming to burn the very blood within one's veins as a bestial snarl of pained agony tried and failed to roar over the chorus of voices. The fall of a knight's sword, glinting silver in the moonlight as it carved through the wight's face with ease... and the subsequent swipe of transitioned claws which tore out the ishgardian's throat with just as little effort. The burning sorrow as the werewolf's form sank to it's knees, ears pinned backward and releasing a howling cry of shame and despair...

'No, you are not. That is why we both must change, for him, and for us. We can be mindless weapons no longer...'

A sharp gasp signaled his return to reality, and were it not for the warm wrap of the wight's arms around his figure - he never would have noticed he'd collapsed.

"..Maxia?"

The warmth in which it flowed from the bard's lips, had him sinking in against his chest and wrapping his own arms around the man's neck in kind. "...I'm alright, just some flashes... I think I might have been out in the cold too long." Half-truths, but genuine enough as he lifted his head and set his cheek to the wight's own as a hand rose to thread his fingers into the soft silver of the other's hair.

"You should come to bed, sleeping out here isn't doing you any good. Besides, I'd rather have you wrapped around me then Fenrir when it comes to warming me back up again..." He didn't need to look to feel the wight's smile curve into place against his cheek, and it brought one of his own to form in kind as he nuzzled into the base of the hunter's ear. A short lived affection, as he felt the larger man shift beneath him. Only to feel those arms tuck beneath his legs, and pull them out from under him as he was hefted up bridal style with a sigh of contentment.

"Then who am I to deny you?" the silvered words, fond as they were only made his smile warmer as he tilted his head to rest against the hunter's shoulder. Content to be carried, until the sudden toss onto the silken soft of the bed earned a surprised yelp and a blush in equal measure.

Yet before he could offer words of his own in kind, the bard was upon him as the wight sank in flush against his chest and hips. Arms wrapping around his waist, and nose nuzzling into the side of his neck, where that warm breath made goosebumps form and send a shiver down his spine. There, the bard settled as the bedding was pulled up and over the both of them and earned a grateful sigh from the dragoon's lips. Bathed in warmth, he simply reached up his hands and began to softly trail the lengths of his fingers along the wight's scalp and the upper edge of his ears... "I love you, Maxia. ...With every fiber of my soul..." a whispered confession, reverent and kind as it was spoken against his throat. Words, that drew the dragoon's eyes to half lid as he settled further beneath his lover's form... "I love you too, my heart."

► Name ➔ He grinned. “Ser Sorneth Caduceus, Bard of renown, and teller of stories. ...Also a knight of Ishgard now apparently” he offered with a side ward slant of his eyes “bit of a funny tale that one.” ► Are you single ➔ He chuckled warmly, as a smile formed that not only curved along his lips but brought a fond narrowing of his eyes. “Not in the slightest. I’m the husband of Maxia Caduceus, and happily so. While we do have our problems sometimes, that’s simply the way of it. A relationship is like a garden, you tend it together, and you enjoy both the good times, and weather the bad side by side.” ► Are you happy ➔ He offered a nod. “Most of the time. I have many, many things around me that bring a smile to my face, and a warmth to my heart. While occasionally my mind does get the better of me, I’m fortunate that I can often find pleasant company to help ease me back into my usual, jovial self.” ► Are you angry? ➔ The bard falls silent for a moment, a frown pulling across his lips as the fingers of a gloved hand curl inwards towards his palm briefly. “Overall?” his tone flows gently upon smooth silver “No, I’m content and at peace. It’s merely specific subjects that are likely to light a fire in my blood. But they rarely if ever surface in normal conversation.” ► Are your parents still married ➔ This brought the man’s head to tilt, before giving a brief huff of a chuckle. “I don’t even know my parents, but I imagine they still are. Divorce is not an option where I come from, I’m... pretty sure the marriages are pre-arranged as well. Aids in the selective breeding.”

I -am- from the Shroud, just way more vertically down then most forest-born.” ► Hair Color ➔ He grinned, as a hand lifted to pinch one of his bangs within his fingertips. “Naturally this silver, even the white highlights mixed in.” ► Eye Color ➔ His head tilted, offering a better view of his eyes as the moon-white iris’ seemed to glow against the dark grey backdrop. “Moon white, I was told this is the result of those born beneath a Full Moon, on the Winter Solstice. The night influenced me, and thus my eyes reflect my connection to the sunless sea. It’s a rare trait among my people, near to the point of prophecy.” He shrugged “If there is one about me, I don’t know it. I simply am who I am.” ► Birthday ➔ He frowned gently.. “Aside from having been born on the Winter Solstice? Well, that’s if the stories of my eyes are true. Honestly I... actually have no idea. I use the solstice to track my years, when it passes, I consider myself a year older.” ► Mood ➔ He grinned again, this time with one that even narrowed his eyes with mirth. “Playful, flirtatious, good humored, affectionate, creative, modest, honest, loyal, kind, generous. Depends on the day, depends on the time, depends on the company. But generally I’m told that I can be quite a darling, and that I’m pleasant to be around, and easy to get along with.” His smile softened to one of nearly being bashful as he lowered his head and scratched at his cheek. “I just try and give people a reason to smile, there’s enough in the world to feel horrible about. Bard’s are meant to lift people up, after all.” ►Gender ➔ He offered a rich, deep laugh as his arms flowed out from his sides with upturned palms. “Male, obviously. Though... if you want to open up my pants just to make sure, your welcome to...” he offered a wink. “I’m like a museum, can look as much as you want - just don’t touch anything.” ► Summer or winter ➔ “Winter” he stated without a breath of hesitation “I hate the heat, and enjoy the snow, cold, and peacefulness that comes with the season. While game can be a bit more difficult to hunt, I still prefer it over the thick of summer any day.”  ► Morning or afternoon ➔ His smile sweetened. “Morning, very early morning just after midnight. That’s usually when my day usually begins, and I can still drink in the starlit skies as I go about my training routines. It’s quiet, tranquil, few people bother me, and I can lose myself to the routines as if they were meditation.” He sighed out blissfully... “It also lets me finish, come back to the house, and start on breakfast right as my beloved starts rolling themselves out of bed.”

EIGHT THINGS ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE

► Are you in love ➔ His smile grew fond, eyes closing to a gentle, reflective half lid as a soft sigh of contentment parted his lips. “I am fully, and without a doubt in my heart.” The words flowed with a steeled resolve, and an embers warmth as his hand lifted to run the pad of his thumb along the wedding band on his finger. “He is my guiding stars, my strength, my resolve, my present and future. My beloved has claimed me utterly, mind, heart, and soul. Even when were apart, my thoughts drift to him effortlessly, my muse behind everything that I do.” ► Do you believe in love at first sight ➔ The bard’s head tilted, only to tilt again in the other direction before his shoulder’s bobbed in a gentle shrug. “Yes and No. I believe that for some, those who have lived before, there is the chance for a re-kindled connection upon first crossing paths with the one who loved you before. A recognition of their soul, just as they recognize yours in kind. But that.. is merely remembrance.” He lifted a hand to tap two fingers over his heart. “Love, is something you fall into all over again - even with such a destined lover. You grow to know them as they are in this life, finding a fondness for them all over from the beginning. A connection is at first sight, love... grows after.” ► Who ended your last relationship ➔ The frown that flowed over the man’s lips was near a sneered grimace. “...The Ishgardians, their ‘inquisitors’ in fact. They arrested my last lover for writing ‘unhalonic’ texts and distributing his fiction to the general public.” He sighed out softly... “They held him for a long time, over a year, and by the time he was released... I had already left Ishgard and had resumed my way of life long before. If they had not, I likely would have stayed, likely continued to grow what we had between us. ...We were close.” ► Have you ever broken someone’s heart ➔ The bard’s head was swift to shake. “No. Never. It’s why I’m always as clear in my communication as I am, honest, genuine, sincere. Unlike most bards, I don’t desire to eat hearts where I go and leave them shattered within my wake. I... have far too much respect for people to do that.”  ► Are you afraid of commitments ➔ The bard grinned, and merely lifted up his hand to show the Ishgardian Steel wedding band shaped like a dragon that circled his ring finger like an Oroboros. “...Does this answer your question?” ► Have you hugged someone within the last week? ➔ He chuckled warmly as a wolfish grin settled over his features. “Of course! My hand’s can’t keep themselves off of my beloved, for one. For two, my friends are used to that being simply how I greet them.” ► Have you ever had a secret admirer ➔ He offered a sharp, loud, huff of a laugh. “I wish, if only for the experience...” he smirked “If I have one, their so secret even I don’t know about them.” ► Have you ever broken your own heart? ➔ The bard winced, before offering a soft frown as his eyes closed with a side ward flick of his gaze. “...Many times. To spare others pain, hardship, complications, or torment I have had to walk away when I’d rather I not have to on many occasions. It’s how I’ve managed to avoid breaking the hearts of others, my own takes the blow on their behalf, many I imagine aren't even aware of it.”

SIX CHOICES

► Love or lust ➔ The bard huffed out his breath with a shake of his head... “Come now, you can’t possibly make me choose between those?” he arched a brow, only to frown when the question was indeed serious. “Stars, for me you can’t have one without the other. I don’t have sex with people, just to have sex with people. I have to be fond of them to some degree, otherwise it’s just using another person for your own pleasure, which is something I can’t stomach.” His shoulder’s shrugged “When I’m in love? My love is both emotional and physical. If I can’t explore my beloveds likes, dislikes, passions, and build a dynamic with them. If I can’t set my blood on fire and show them how I feel in the most intimate manner known to mortal kind. What then, separates our bond from just having a very deep, platonic friendship?” His head shook, and a palm lifted with a shake as well. “Not for me, my beloved better accept that I’ll be an outright horn dog for them, and realize that it’s because of the fact I love them so much.” ► Lemonade or iced tea ➔ He grinned. “Tea, without contest. Specially when sweetened with honey, or fruit juice mixed in with it.’ ► Cats or Dogs ➔ “Dogs” the wight didn’t even hesitate, though after a moment of thought he did quirk a brow. “..Unless you mean cat men and women, in that case I’ll heavily consider changing my opinion.”  ► A few best friends or many regular friends ➔ The bard smirked a smile, fond and sweet. “Few best friends. As a bard acquaintances and regular connections are helpful, and do well to ease the quiet and loneliness at times. But they are infrequent, and prone to falling out of contact on that individuals whim. Such is why I prefer a few close, stable, consistent people in which to invest myself and a bond with.” ► Wild night out or romantic night in ➔ “Romantic Night In” the words came with a sharp, swift fondness as a smile curled into place along his lips. Even his hands lifted, flowing as he continued... “A candlelit bath, incense scenting the air, two glasses of blush wine laced with just a small hint of clove oil to spark the desire. Worshiping your beloveds skin with the fond caress of fingertips, and the reverent kiss of lips. Exploring them, making their breath catch within their throat, and their heart quicken. A romantic sensuality...” ► Day or night ➔ “Night” he said plainly and with a swiftness. “The Sunless sea is the home of the celestials, my deities. To be beneath it is to be as if within a church, and thus I do most if not all of my activities of import beneath a starlit sky. Cloaked in their blessed shadows, and illuminated by moonlight. To have something of importance happen in the suns light is to welcome ruin to it. Or so my people have long believed.”

FOUR HAVE YOU EVERS

► Been caught sneaking out ➔ “Not yet, though I think my beloved’s senses are slowly becoming keener to my methods. For now however, they seem to only notice my absence after a few hours have passed, and I’ve yet to be caught in the act.” The bard then reached up a hand, and promptly knocked on the wooden part of the wall behind him.  ► Fallen down/up the stairs ➔ “Unfortunately...” the sigh that left his lips was a heavy one as his eyes rolled. “Take it as advice, or wisdom. But do not get drunk within the forgotten knight and then attempt to navigate the pillars of Ishgard while intoxicated. It does not end well for you, or the unfortunate parties having to tend to you afterwards.” ► Wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? ➔ “To want for something unobtainable, is simply an excuse to use it as motivation towards a means to obtain it. But when that want is for a person?” he sighed softly... “That is a pain not so easily twisted into optimism. Nor does acceptance come easy, or quickly.” ► Wanted to disappear ➔ The bard offered a chuckle. “I have, and succeeded. That is all I will offer on the matter, as I would very much desire to keep it that way.”

FOUR PREFERENCES

► Smile or eyes ➔ The bard’s hand lifted, before pointing two fingers to his moon-white orbs. “Eyes” he stated firmly “For some, a smile has become impossible to form as they’ve long forgotten how over the duration of their suffering. But if you look into their eyes, you can see even in the depths of their pain, their fighting against the inner demons, the shimmer of warmth that tells of the difference you’ve just made. I never once considered myself of having been subjected to a ‘tragic backstory’. My life is what it is, and had to be what it was, for me to become what I have.” He shrugged. “My life is what it needed to be, to be what it is, and will become.” ► Have you ever ran away from home ➔ His head shook again. “No, never. I’ve been loyal to the end, and left home only when there was no one else there to linger around for.” ► Have you ever gotten kicked out ➔ His shoulder’s bobbed with a deep, rich chuckle. “I was... voluntarily exiled” he stated slowly, and with keen purpose. “When we become hunters, we are condemned to live out the rest of our lives on the surface, fulfilling our duties until the day the Monsters we hunt succeed in killing us.”

Now... if that results in me being punched in the face for it or not, is another matter.” ► Do you consider all of your friends good friends ➔ The bard’s head shook lightly. “I have two good friends, the rest are... barely more then acquaintances. While I would desire more, that is not up to me but rather others to decide if they wish to get to know me or not. But I can see how a white eyes, silver haired, silver tongued Wight can be intimidating.” ► Who is your best friend ➔ “Honestly?” he sighed softly, and his head sank into his hand with a rubbing of his fingertips against his temples. “...My horse. I tell them everything I do when not with them, and they witness everything I do when within their company.” ► Who knows everything about you ➔ “My horse, for reasons previously stated..”

Andrew’s Song - End of Silence

Main theme, and what summarizes the path of a bard as the Wight himself has come to know it. Of it’s freedom, and the sacrifices he’s had to make in order to achieve it. Despite it all however, he’s not come to regret embracing the mantle even once over his life and will likely continue to honor it until he breathes his last.

I am where it takes me - Black Light Burns

While to some it may seem so, to the Wight his story was never one of tragedy. The order, in his eyes, was good to him and he thrived as one of it’s most talented, and most loyal Hunters. Like a soldier in the field, his demons come instead from what he has had to do to fulfill his purpose and responsibilities. The nightmares are intense, haunting him constantly, be it while trying to sleep or even his daily routines. Life with PTSD is difficult, and to keep it from interfering with his professional life, it takes it’s toll instead upon his personal one. This song, best represents his co-existence with the disorder.

Krigsgaldr - Heilung

A song of death and mourning, A cycle never ending to which the bard can never truly seem to escape. While the bard would prefer only to live his life in peace, it always seems that such moments are short lived and be it by Monster or Man he is called back to his duties yet again. In many ways, it is why he travels the world and shares it’s stories wherever he goes. Perhaps then, the people of the world may know enough about each other to resolve their conflicts through words, rather then war.

A song of Eternal Love. The wight has lived, loved, and died for it once before in the life before this one. He feels it in his soul, that searching pull towards the one who he pledged his eternity too beneath the ancient stars. They vowed they would be together, vowed they would find one another again, and again, life after life. It is this ancient oath that drives his heart, drives him forward, and head first into an unknown future. Has he found at last what he so deeply seeks? Or like a false prophet, has he been tempted from the path... the one out there searching for him so restlessly in kind.

The Hunter - Adam Jensen

Hunter’s Theme. Like a witcher of the Source, the Bard has been trained from a young age, honed, tempered, sharpened, tailored, into a weapon of unyielding devotion and loyalty to the Order’s Cause. Like a paladin fighting in the name of their deity, his resolve is matched only by his ferocity. Monsters, even in those in the form of Men, are his marks. Servants of the Light, and of the Darkness both, in addition to those who have strayed too far from their humanity. Many will assume his enjoyment of the task is but the Order’s conditioning, but for this Lord of Wolves he lives, thrives, and only feels truly alive while on a Hunt.

Witcher - Karliene

The life he’s been forged to live is one he would not sacrifice for anything else within this world, and those beyond it. This three song compilation summarizes the three acts that make up the repeating cycle of his way of life. The hunt - described through the eyes of his prey in lullaby of Woe. The Wolven Storm - a ballad of those who choose to share their heart with him, be it for a night, a lifetime, or something in between. Lastly, the journey, felt in The Fields of Ard Skellig. The loneliness of the life and the endless traveling that takes him across the whole breathe of the Source and possibly to worlds beyond. The times he spends in reflection, as the world falls beneath the hoof of his horse one malm at a time.

“Mental health is a subject I’m both passionate about, and feel that it’s an aspect of ourselves and others that is not taken into consideration as often as it should. Despite how heavily it impacts everything; Our relationships, our work ethic, our interactions with others, how we treat and perceive ourselves...

Thus is why, in my personal life, I put such a focus and emphasis on self-care. No matter the time of day, or even sometimes night, when I feel my minds whispers growing uncomfortable or my resolve shaken. I see to myself, and bring myself back into equilibrium in what ways I can.

Many people I’ve spoken to, admit that they don’t know how to perform self-care. So I shall take the opportunity you’ve given me, to give insight into what I do for myself, and perhaps... it may help you as well in kind?”

 “The first thing I do, when I realize I need to self-care, is find the cause of what unsettled me to begin with. Was it a sound? A touch? Was it a person? A feeling? Or perhaps the nightmares, or past memories that so often plague me? The reason for this... is that if I can identify either the cause, or the dominant emotions currently causing me unrest. Then I know what it is exactly that I need to soothe...

Take for instance my nightmares, which often wake me up in a cold sweat, and leave me shaken and gasping for breath. I’m fortunate, that my beloved often wakes as well in such moments, and wraps their arms around me until I calm. But it never used to be that way, and far too often I woke alone.

Even living with my beloved, my routines for my self after-care remain the same. I focus on my senses first and foremost. Touch, smell, sound, sight, I run my fingertips over everything around me, things that weren't there in the dream or memory. I focus on the feel of the material, it’s realism. I focus my ears on the subtle sounds within the house, or the forest outside the windows, again with a focus on what was not present within the dream or memory. I look around the room, slowly, taking in the details and colors of everything familiar to me, reminding myself that I am not where my mind thought I was not a few moments ago. This, grounds me in the present, the now, and separates me from the place my mind had taken me.

Once grounded, I focus on returning myself to a calm tranquility. For me, this means walking out of the house and out into the forest. Anywhere I can be alone with the stars, and simply relax knowing I’m safe beneath their shimmering light.

I swim, I play my harp, I sit and listen to the sounds and songs of the woods. If I have my journal with me I’ll sketch whatever is around me that holds my interest for longer then a second. Whatever whim passes through my mind, I indulge it, so long as it’s calming, relaxing, and takes little effort on my part to perform.

Sometimes it will only take half a bell or so, for me to feel at peace and normal again. Sometimes, it takes hours before I come back home. But the important part, is returning in a different mindset then the one I had when I left.

I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoyed the insight into a relatively unspoken and not so often shared aspect of my life.”

What is your dream job?

Right now it’s to work for the JET program as an English Teaching Assistant. So, a civil servant for the Japanese government. Otherwise, I would really love to co-own a business with my SO while doing art and writing on the side. Own a little bookstore/cafe with metaphysical shop. It’s a cute and calm dream after a life full of just... too much chaos.

Do you collect anything?

I collect instruments I think are neat, ouija boards, tarot cards, books, video games... Honestly the thing I make a concentrated effort to get though are tarot cards. I have three ouija boards so far, and three sets of tarot cards. And if you were to see my internet wish lists, the are mostly more tarot cards and ouija boards I want to get because I just really love them.

What is your favorite kind of literature?

Fantasy. I love fantasy. Otherwise I really do adore works like 1984, Lord of the Flies, and I am really enjoying the process of chipping away at Everything is Illuminated. I’m not too sure what all of these might classify as otherwise, but they are probably just odd outliers in my taste that generally demands the fantastical and unreal.
