he isnt smug so much as playful, the best word to put i t
he's quiet and tends to not be very chatty, mostly just working or napping
but he loves his family and is rather silly with his kids. Like telling them that if they dont eat their frog then a big frog will come along and eat them
Jocundbounce, named so that he would know happiness and joy through his life and to celebrate in the good times.
Jocundbounce was a warrior who often had struggled to keep up, even failing his first warrior assessment when he got sidetracked (he claims that he thought he saw something suspicious in the forest but its never been proven)
Pridebriar was a bit older than him, the beloved grandchild of the most loved leader Prismstar. Jocundbounce looked up to Pridebriar and often felt they’de never get close to them. Until they got closer than he ever believed they could get. Pridebriar revealed to jocundbounce one cold morning on a patrol her feelings about her identity and gender and how she felt that if she changed from being this ‘great grandson and warrior of prismstar’ the others wouldn’t see her for how she was. Jocundbounce supported her, and in this moment of vulnerability shared between the two he fell in love.
Jocundbounce was the loudest supporter of Pridebriar when she told her family, they all were supportive of her and love her terribly, didn't mean that Jocundbounce’s support didn’t help make it less scary.
Agonypaw, their only child, born with complications and nearly died. Named not only for the pain they felt believing their child might not make it, but for the relief they felt. Agonypaw was named to remind her that life as a warrior will be terrifying and full of agonizing moments but that with a warrior name like hers, he will be at the helm of it and in control. to be able to appreciate the calm after the storm.
Agonypaw is a quiet spoken apprentice who sometimes worries if their falling behind or if their supposes to be better. knowing their great grandfather to be prismstar and the high expectation he left on their family, she worries she isn't living up to his glory.
Agonypaw and rotpaw are friends who love getting to see each other at gatherings.
Pridebriar, grandaughter of the great Prismstar, one of the most beloved Leaders of Gloryclans history. Pridebriar grew up be recognized as Prismstars grandson, some saying a true heir to his legacy. however pridebriar spent much of her life knowing she wasn’t what everyone thought she was, but the idea of breaking this idealized image everyone had formed of her scared her.
She often watched the warrior Jocundbounce, a clumsy carefree warrior who didn't worry about any big picture. Jocundbounce was loud and proud of who he was and Pridebriar admired and craved after what he had.
so one cold morning the two were sent to patrol together and something in her opened up. she admitted how she felt to Jocundbounce and he said what she needed to hear. he supported her and would do whatever she needed to be comfortable and safe. assuring her that if she ever decided to tell the others he would support her and knows they would to. this warrior who she had hardly ever spoken to promised to support her and keep her safe. it warmed her heart.
the two are both open and happy together
Reflectionheart, the last remaining child of Prismstar, beloved now late leader of Gloryclan. Reflectionheart worked hard to keep up with the legacy her father left on their clan along with her siblings. She was a wonder of a warrior and has spent every day putting in labor and love for her clan until she was too old to keep up with the clan. Reflectionheart was Revelstars mentor and know’s she will do well in Prismstars footsteps.
Melancholyspot, a big cry baby. Named very similar to the same reasons agonypaw was, to know that even in the vigil and sad moments the clan must face their name will have them at the helm of it to fight and keep going on even when things are down.
however melancholyspot has more or less just used their name as an excuse to mop around and avoid working.
Bogshadow, a short stocky cat. Him and Melancholyspots relationship has been more ‘having kits to make more warriors’ than romantic. He also finds Melancholyspot to be dramatic which he finds unappealing in a warrior. in his eyes (and kind melancholyspot’s) they would be better off in the nursery raising kids and having the soft life of a queen than out in the marshes half assing their work.
Benevolancelight, a senior warrior who has been known for their stories and wisdom. despite not being old enough yet to retire she tends to stick around the elders at gathers or even refer to herself as an old lady. which to her two young apprentice aged kids is a bit embarrassing.
She was siblings with prismstar, coming from a later litter. she looked up to her older brother and hopes for a bright and beloved future for their clan and family
Sorrowcloud, a serious warrior who likes to be efficient and get the work done. sometimes you’ll find him at the gardens on the riverbeds collecting herbs before the medicine cats can even get to it ‘because they were taking too long to get around to it’. all of this and you’de never guess that at camp their very mellow and often napping. However others say its because he’s run himself ragged during the day and crashes hard back at camp.
