Hoppaw is a super happy little apprentice. Most of life's problems roll right off his back. In the main story he is so oblivious he barely recognizes that there is a conflict in the story. So what would it take for him to be afraid and angry?

It would take something Drastic for sure. What if his beloved uncle was to lose a life or any of his family were to be hurt?

Moon High: Chapter 26 (unfinished)

[some kind of hazepaw pov filler character building chapter. This takes place about a half moon after the battle between treeclan and oceanclan]

Half a moon later, as Oceanclan still recovered from its defeat, Hazepaw worked to better himself. He would not be so weak the next time a battle took place. He was determined to win. He wanted to be the one to bring glory to his clan. He'd make a better future deputy for it. That's what Sea Breeze was trying to drive into him at least.

Hazepaw found himself wishing he were elsewhere as he sat in the dank forest, listening to the ancient spirit praddle on to him once again about the importance of strategy over strength.

"Are you paying attention to me at all, boy?" Sea Breeze snapped as she noticed the bored expression on Hazepaw's mug. "Or are you falling asleep on your paws like a moronic kit?"

"Yeah yeah. I hear ya." Hazepaw rolled his eyes. "I just don't get why you have to lecture me again on the subject."

"Because it clearly wasn't driven into your skull the first few times I discussed it! There's more to winning than muscle alone. The sooner you understand, the sooner you'll become a warrior Oceanclan can look towards." Sea Breeze insisted.

Hazepaw stood up and shook out his pelt. "I already understand," he meowed.

Memphis' Inferno

Memphis is Brought to the Dark Forest in a dream by Sunstar and his cronies. He is greeted by Berrybush, who was sent to give him the mission of killing Crowfood. Memphis finds himself in awe at this world of pain and self-inflicted torment, and a longing is born in him. However, He has already allied with Crowfood, and it will take a lot more than mere words to sway him. Nevertheless, he will wake up much more learned.
