16, 17, 24.
16. Silmarils or Rings?
Hmmmmm... honestly, I can’t decide. The Silmarils are obviously beautiful and everything, but there’s that whole hallowing thing (plus the weird-obsession thing) that makes them... very creepy to me. The Rings are obviously pretty creepy too, but, to be quite honest, I find the idea of the Rings more fascinating than the Silmarils. They have this wonderful, scientific practicality that, to me, the Silmarils lack. I mean, I’ve seen some amazing headcanons/metas about the purpose of the Silmarils and I agree with many of them, but I didn’t feel that while I was reading the Silmarillion, while the Rings have fascinated me since the very beginning. So I guess it’s a bit of nostalgic attachment, but I’ll go with the Rings.
