i don’t think it’s fair to throw an entire school under the bus because of one student’s bullshit, and looking back to their past art, i can see why they got in. it’s just incredibly disappointing that they’ve gone down this extremely fetishistic route and that they’re on the “anatomy doesn’t matter” bandwagon. basically i feel sorry for the teachers and peers that have to try and teach them and be in class with them.

the thing that pisses me off so much about the whole bi/pan thing is if you really want to get assholeish with it and say shit like “pan became popular because ppl wanted to feel superior to bi ppl” you’re overlooking the fact that bi had always meant TWO and for a long time that meant men and women (yes including binary trans ppl - except for transphobic bis) and now you have ppl who swear blue in the face that bi means (and has always? meant?) two or more. it meant TWO until bi ppl were like ‘oh ok we’d better include ppl who are from other genders...’ like. all of this is such bullshit nitpicking fuckery. don’t turn polysexuals against each other - there’s bullshit in both of the terms histories. both are good, please miss me with that “it’s FINE if you STILL want to identify as PAN but let me tell you why it’s TRANSPHOBIC and BIPHOBIC to identify that way :)”

both identities have transphobic elements in their histories because a lot of people who identify that way have been, or ARE transphobic.

but a lot of us are also trans and non binary so just. don’t.

also @ ppl who are like “they’re guaranteed an industry position because they’re at cal/arts” don’t be so sure. i know of another cal/arts alumni [redacted] who has not done nice things and is having trouble getting industry placement. so i don’t think it’s a guaranteed thing.
