Ah, all employee meeting day, how I despise thee. But this is a good one cuz we have the WFH coworker in here today AND everyone liked my Old Lady Potluck idea so we're doing that today. (I made Depression Cake).

And it's good to see that my employer is doing well financially speaking, so that's job security at least.

And now I'm debating if I wanna play Pokopia (I'm working on a "subway" system in my Palette Town) or work on my mini kit right now. Both are tempting...

1 Corinthians 3:13-14 (ESV) - each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.  If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.

Once again my brain is rebelling against listening to/watching anything. I managed to get it to cooperate yesterday and tolerate a show about cults, but now it's not happy with that.

Why can't my brain just...stop being a little shit? I want to work on the mini but I know with all the tiny fiddly parts I'm working on my brain will NOT stay focused without something in the background. But nothing is good enough again. (It does not help that I haven't watched or listened to anything recently that's hyperfocus worthy, and none of my past hyperfocuses are up in the rotation yet.)

I mean, maybe I can get my brain to stick to a podcast? I know there's a backlog of episodes on a couple that I could listen to. The one I really want hasn't updated in a few years though, and I don't think I wanna listen to the old episodes again right now. But there's a cool history one that might do the trick...

I'm a bit sleepy this morning, but I think it's less exhaustion and more "it's cold out and I just wanna curl up at home with my pets and nap".

We've also been busier than I'd expect with the cold and its making me a little cranky. I just...wanna bite something or someone, really hard. Just once. I think that would help me today.

And I think I'm going to start on the last little diorama kit I have. Maybe. I have precision glue applicators that are supposed to arrive today and I kinda wanna wait until I have those to make this easier and neater. But at the same time, I'm really excited to start it. Ugh, decisions.

Hand-sewing update: I have stabbed myself a ridiculous number of times. I do not normally do that. I've hand-sewn plenty of things and I hand-embroider, for crying out loud. Im not saying I never stab myself, I definitely do, but not this much. One finger or another got jabbed about every other stitch with this pleat.

But I have sewn up one pleat, so there's just one to go. It's looking very nice, and I feel like hand-sewing and doing the blind stitching was a good plan.

I, uh, might leave the other pleat for another day, though, cuz I'm not sure I feel like enduring more needles in my fingers today.

Once again thinking about Space Marine Iskall. I think he'd have been on the same unit as Joe though not the same... company? Sub-unit. Struggling through thinking about organized militia terms.
