since it seems unlikely to use a baby heart, I'm assuming the plan was for J&M to raise Henry after adopting him? did they know exactly why pan wanted him (that he needed his heart)? did they know they were going to be bringing a lamb up just for slaughter? or did they just do what they were told without knowing exactly why, just that they had to do it? did they know they'd be raising their (adoptive) nephew? my instinctive guess is probably not bc it would fit pan's sense of irony to have them raise their nephew up to die without them knowing. but I'm curious how it would've panned out -- if J&M would have been able to not grow attached, as we know the darlings are all about family love -- though that wouldn't necessarily change anything, because they might still just pick Wendy above all else -- but it's still good drama/angst? idk I'm just very curious about if the plan worked out bc it's a very interesting thing to think about I guess
