Imagining Stanley did get millions, he made a whole lot of money with a few jobs...

The jobs being a hit man.

Instead of taking the money and going back home, Stanley feels the weight of that blood money, the innocent that were involved in the loss of what he took, he burns it all and never goes back to that life again.
