​Also, yes!! It's supposed to be a 2-shot, and I have 99% of the first part done. I went to look it over after mentioning it - and honestly? I think I could have that first part up very soon. The first part is Kaveh's perspective, the second part is the same events + epilogue from Haitham's perspective.

Are you still working on the sequel to History, Repeating? And do you have any estimate for when it'll be posted?

Hello! First of all, thank you so much ;A;

But, I am, yes! It has admittedly fallen on the backburner while I started writing another fic - (it gripped me by the horns, fr) - but that one is nearly finished. I'm terrible about being able to work on two things at once, so writing History's sequel will continue right after this one starts posting. That said, I do have the next two History fics outlined already, with about half of another pending (because Fontaine is messy, man).

For funsies, have an excerpt from the sequel's current draft:

Weixia squeals as he offers her a small spoonful of congee. It is dizzying to see how his daughter has already begun to take to solid foods. She is just short of six months old; strong, bright, and happy. Breakfast seems to be her new favorite thing, because it is when she smiles the brightest. After another full spoon, she seems content to reach for the next one herself. Xiao lets her, and he chuckles when it clatters into the bowl in front of them. Some of it splatters onto the baby’s face, and she brings her hands up to wipe at it. He watches Weixia try again a moment later – and is pleasantly surprised to see that she is able to take a clumsy bite by herself. About half of it sits on her cheeks, but it is the effort that counts.

“Good job, nǚ’ér,” he praises. With a smile, he takes a cloth and wipes at her cheeks. “You are getting very good at this.” A moment later, and her attention is drawn to the stuffed dragon that sits beside her. Xiao knows that she is done with her breakfast then, so he takes the bowl of congee and quietly eats the rest. It is a peaceful morning, as he takes his breakfast and watches Weixia mouth at the tail of her toy dragon. They enjoy the quiet together, as the sun continues to rise and slowly rouse the land from its slumber.
