So to me Peter Quill is totally a Hufflepuff. Do you agree?
MOST HUFFLEPUFF. ALL HUFFLEPUFF. I KEPT TURNING TO KAT IN THE MOVIE THEATRE AND WHISPERING KAT LOOK AT THE PUFF HE'S SO CUTE OH NO.
I'd say he's a Hufflepuff primary and a Puff secondary-- all his decisions are so effortlessly, beautifully Puff, and when he's at his best he accomplishes those decided goals with community building, decency, and effort. He respectfully asks and pays the man in the prison for his prosthetic leg; and his greatest victory in the movie is making a team--a family-- out of a bunch of losers... I mean people who have lost stuff. Puff everywhere.
But I do think he models Slytherin--he tries to act Slytherin because that's the culture he was raised in on the bounty hunters' ship. That's the social standing and performance expected of him. Even after he runs away he tries so hard to live up to it. (His running away was even him playing Slytherin, in a way). But wow is that not his cup of tea. Embrace your Puff, kiddo. Be proud. You saved the world with it.
