cultural note: a Seijin no hi or “Seijin Shiki” is a coming of age day in Japan for people who have turned 20 in the past year. People tend to celebrate with their junior hs peers to bars and restaurants as 20 is the legal drinking age. It’s celebrated every 2nd Monday in January

I have been planning this type of episode for a while. I thought it’d be fun to incorporate it as Lina and Sota are from different cultures, and them being able to introduce each other to their cultures seemed really sweet. I did a lot of research to make sure. I was being accurate, at least in terms of appearance. And I got extra information from my Japanese friends in regard to it.
