SOTD: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - Fredrika Stahl
#15
Today's song come from one of my friend's iSearch project. She's also doing a music based project.
I visited her blog a week or so ago and found this post. There were so many songs on that post I couldn't help but listen to all of them to see if I could find a song or two for my own project. Lo and behold, I actuallydid find a song. That song? "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" by Fredrika Stahl, a Swedish soloist.
Before I listened to it, I thought, "Oh. A nursery song. But if a guard team used it, it's probably a pretty good rendition." So I clicked play and holy crap was I taken aback. This song isn't just good, it's amazing. Absolutely amazing. The beginning of it already was like "Woah there. Woah. What." The vocals are just amazing. I thought it couldn't get better until Stahl strayed away from the nursery rhyme and added some pizzazz to the song. And then, in the end, Stahl went back to the quiet style she had in the beginning.
Never have I heard a nursery rhyme sung this well. Like, what the heck. It's so good. How does one even make such a good version of a nursery rhyme? How? I don't understand how Stahl did this. I don't think I'll ever hear a better nursery song.
