Of course he didn’t know she couldn’t hear him at first, at least until he was told and the little ‘bot nearby caught his attention as he stood alongside Souji. He sighed softly, and smiled a bit, “So…I can talk away now?” He gave a bit of a laugh, though it was clear he was still under the weather a bit himself even now. Still recovering. Hence why it seemed he was accompanied by the other teen wherever he went; going anywhere or being alone was not acceptable for long periods of time.
Still, he guided his companion to sit on the futon Alphie had gestured to earlier. Thus sitting for now and leaning against the other to relax them a little hopefully.
Souji kept a hold on Minato’s hand as they felt the other sit next to them and smiled the slightest bit. “Must be something else, to be in here…” They said quietly, and though unnerved stayed put.
After all, they’d seen worse things– this wasn’t so bad, right?
To be fair, though, this wasn’t the same kind of occurrence. Seeing Shadows and fighting them didn’t quite equate. Minato had situated himself close enough to be able to peer through the glass but Souji was content just to sit and speak in an idle manner.
“Oh yes, she can hear you just fine now!” The small robotic creature near exclaimed, although his attitude seemed forced on a slight level. He scurried across the table to jump down and toss a glance to them from the floor. “She’s still less responsive than usual. So please don’t fret if she seems confused of lost. A lot transpired and it’s going to take a little time to bounce back.” Dropping back to all fours, he made his way towards the door. “I’ll make some tea, give a shout if you need anything!” With that, he disappeared around the corner.
Abbi herself was out of sorts, unsure of what to say or do. This wasn’t like family visiting, who understood what she went through on a marginal level. These were two lovely friends that came to visit her without knowing what happened fully or why she’d be as blank and unattainable as she was. She sat there, mildly confused and more so blank than anyone would ever see her. Truly, she could only question herself. Why she was the one to deal with all of this and if it was truly worth it. However, she at least attempted to pay attention when Souji spoke.
She was listening, even though it seemed like she was far off in another world all together. “It helps to think of it like a normal room.” She noted, almost too quietly to be heard. Though she swallowed her thoughts and made a better attempt. They were visiting her, she shouldn’t be making this an awful experience. Her natural want to keep things at least somewhat less dreary kicked up and she looked down to her hands. Just as before, she weaved a small butterfly from a few strands of light thread and let it drift from her fingertips to float through the glass wall and flutter around them.
“I can’t move much, but I can make things.” She said, giving the barest hint of a smile.
