Jos’s Soul Element is Wood.
“The creation of a thousand forests can lie in one acorn.”
Just like the life cycle of a tree, the element of wood symbolizes growth and adaption. It is one of the five Chinese elements, or Wu Xing, usually ordered as the first element. Out of those elements, Wood has the closest connection to Yang, the light half of a Yin Yang symbol, as it represents expansion, reaching for new goals, growth, and light.
Wood Souls oftentimes are the type to set goals or have high standards for themselves. Symbolizing growth, they are always ready to try something new, prepared to step outside their comfort zone to reach new heights. However, they are not reckless or impulsive, knowing their limits. Like a growing tree, they have patience and are willing to practice their talents or aspirations diligently. It can be impressive what a Wood Soul can complete as time goes on, and they often become very successful later on in life. They are often very outgoing, generous, and good communicators; though on the downside, they may be too socially conscious. If they believe they are not good enough for someone, they may end up going down the wrong path to please others.
One of the five Chinese elements, Wood represents these things:
- The season of Spring
- East
- Morning/Dawn
- The color green
- Chinese Zodiac animals Tiger, Rabbit, and Dragon
- Yang, the white half of a Yin Yang
- In the Chinese cycle of elements, Wood is overcome by Metal; In turn, Wood overcomes Earth
Overall, Wood Souls are constantly trying new things, very encouraging and helpful to others, as well as patient and adaptable to anything life throws at them!
