Thank you for five solid minutes of basic but amazing content boys! Now I need to wind back down so that I'm 40% awake for what is, thanks to my booking myself a long weekend, the last shift of this week! (Though, sadly, I do have to be up for a 1am shift on Monday so Sunday's stream is going to have to be the first I catch exclusively on the vod.!!)

Alert alert Dan and Phil dream:

So they were filming a thing where they were surprising Pham tier members with a day trip with them to a location they'd randomly pulled from a hat where you'd hang and complete a random scavenger hunt together.

My name must have been drawn given I was there but outside of the general context I only remember the following:

. Something upset Dan and Phil did a fly by hand hold while semi loudly proclaiming 'Its not PDA if I'm walking away when it happens'

. The scavenger hunt turned into a mini Dan verses Phil at some point and Dan got me to pose with him while holding a little mini cake that'd been filled with weird stuff so that he could boast to Phil about it.

. Said mini cake was heart shaped and there had actually been a cake in the bakery we found it in that would have fit the 'unusual cake' hunt point we were after but...

. Finally while taking the selfie Dan made me kneel a little on his back so we could get a cool almost v form dynamic pose going. It was weird,

If the boys would like to drop a video tonight as a) a pick me up after I've spent the first few days of what should have been a fun week off sick in bed and b) a present for me to enjoy watching on my birthday tomorrow that'd be greatly appreciated.

(Also now that I am at a 4/10 rather than a 2/10 on the brain capacity scale I'm going to attempt speed running getting up the 3rd and final chapter of Pink chrysanthemum, but, as always, I'm not making solid promises on achieving said speed run)

Out of pure curiosity I skimmed the old Live Journal to see what I was doing in October '09 around first meet up day and, apparently, I was being very excited for the drop of my favourite bands* 2nd (and sadly last) album.

I feel there's something in the fact that what is now my current 'main fandom' was born at a time when I was deep in the trenches of my previous!!

*a Japanese indie band called SCARECROW and yes they still own a portion of my heart even if they haven't played as a full unit since 2011

From coming on here every day while TiT was still rolling to get the Q+A videos to screaming with you all when the Video Big landed 2025 has been an amazing year in the Phandom!

Here’s to 2026 and me both wanting them to announce another tour so that I can actually see them live now that I’m fully Phandom pilled while also not wanting DnP to over work themselves too to much!!

I ended up calling it Pink Carnation because they symbolise maternal affection and it gave me an excuse to use flower imagery for the chapter titles.

For those curious I’m still writing the fic and am heading into what feels about mid point for the narrative so I could, potentially, have it A03 ready next month but we’ll see!!
