Vesper's life is fairly normal. College is almost over and his study companions are tiny animals with skulls for faces, and his familiar with molten gold for eyes. A bookworm through and through, Vesper has a hard time interacting with others, and it only gets worse when he starts crushing on his best friend, Volt.

The only problem here is Volt is a demon, and demons... don't do romance well.
