         “   yeah   well,   get   in   the   fucking   line.   ”         snarled   out,   all   teeth   and   glares,   fingers   curled   so   tight   into   fists   she   feels   the   nails   cut   into   skin.   when   threatened,   wounded   animals   shall   scratch   and   bite,   seeking   out   blood   to   spill.   a   deep   breath   through   gritted   teeth,   she   rolls   back   one   stiff   shoulder,   groaning   quietly   as   it   pops.   not   the   worst   thing   in   the   world,   but   frankly,   she’s   exhausted.   has   been   exhausted.   doubt   settles   in   the   valley   between   her   ribs,   hickory   hues   flitting   around   the   room,   before   settling,   weighed   and   calculating,   on   the   woman.         “   what   do   you   want   ??   ”

jack kelly from disney’s musical adaptation of n.ewsies was a really big one, i wrote him for a few years and he’s easily one of my all time favorite characters. i miss writing him a lot but the n.ewsies rpc died out/wasn’t super active so the motivation to write him dwindled with it. but i met some of my favorite people through writing him and jack will forever hold a very special place in my heart!
