“hey, i’m trying to help.” this is a problem that she runs into often: not being taken seriously enough. it wasn’t like she had a huge online presence, aside from the rare video or article that really only served to make her look like a child. her suit was cheaply made, and really didn’t have any cool tech like most every other hero. it looked like she was an untrained idiot, and so most people wanted nothing to do with her. not when people like spid.er-man existed. “i swear! i know what i’m doing.”
the girl could be captain fucking am.erica himself and jessica would still scoff --------- needing help, regardless of context and veracity, something akin to a disease, beat into her by monsters and ghouls alike. fingers hook under the hood of a nearby car, throwing it at the lunatic in purple thighs and catching him in the shoulder. ❝ look kid, ❞ earthen hues shift minutely to take her in, one eyebrow raising, ❝ it’s not that i don’t trust you, which i fucking don’t. i’ve got this covered. i’m not looking for a sidekick. ❞
