It's fucking awesome.
Grasshopper Manufacture (Suda 51; [No More Hero's, killer 7]) are developing a Neon Genesis Evangelion Rhythm Game. I post because Neon Genesis is the bible, on levels beyond religion. But mostly, I post because everyone's favourite Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka (now ex-silent hill composer, unfortunately) is doing the music for the thing! This is definitely a thing! Here's some info:
Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact is a rhythm music action game, according to magazine leaks. Yamaoka made bold remixes of music from the Rebuild of Evangelion movies for the PSP title. Over 30 songs are included in the game. Music and images are blended together using the "unknown synchro action" system.
The above is the limited edition pack released in Japan.
A mole in the department of intelligence* informs me that the game is 85% finished and will be out on PSP in September.
*for legal reasons I probably have to say I do not have MI6 contact in any form. I've not even looked twice at a pigeon that has been known to have flown past headquarters.

Another PSP Eva title? Its a rhythm game as well? I'm not sure how I feel about it. To be honest, as long as its another pachinko game and Eva gets more games, I'm happy. :)
Its on the PSP, which means I won't buy it, unless its good and gets a digital release, in which case I'll get it next year with the PSVIta. That is, if it actually gets an American release...
