Listening to Music Through the Sense of Touch
A pioneering new prototype allows those with hearing loss to "listen" to music through the sense of touch.
COLUMBIA DISC GRAPHOPHONE, TYPE "BI," WITH SOLID OAK HORN, 1909
Lets get Techie
Sorry for not being on my show closed yesterday kinda sad but also relieved asf
Why?
The space we were in made me feel very unwelcome and disrespected as a tech. They treated us as if we didnt know what we were doing and also was quite rude to us the day we left the space
We may be highschool techs but Anti-Tech holds us to uni lighting standards. We know our shit.
So please remeber to treat highschool techs with respect, we all have the same job and it makes us feel like shit when you dont understand that.
Anyways I am headed off to bed. It is currently midnight and im sick again (Caught a cold from an actor)

Autobahn
Kraftwerk
1974
From the Album “Autobahn”
The 22-minute title track "Autobahn" was edited to 3:27 for single release ... The title track features both untreated and vocoded vocals...Kraftwerk used a Minimoog, an ARP Odyssey, an EMS Synthi AKS and various devices of their own design and implementation, such as their famous electronic drums... (Wikipedia)
Just days after the 1933 Nazi takeover, Adolf Hitler enthusiastically embraced an ambitious autobahn construction project... The propaganda ministry turned the construction of the autobahns into a major media event that attracted international attention... The autobahn was presented to the German public as Hitler's idea...having sketched out the future network of highways while in Landsberg Prison in 1924. (Wikipedia)
The iconic album art for Autobahn may seem stylised to a non-German audience, but the design is simply the sign that is used to mark German roads.
Finished! Defense next week.
It’s done. I will defend my dissertation ‘Noise Resonance. Technological Sound Reproduction and the Logic of Filtering’ next week at a public ceremony at the Agnietenkapel in Amsterdam. More info here.
Read a brief abstract of my thesis below, or download the introduction, conclusion and full summary at the UvA-website.
