The brand new made in Japan 400 series guitars have arrived. Built by veteran craftsmen, these top of the line guitars feature the finest materials from top grain woods to Gotoh Tremelo Systems and Tuning Machines. Our crown jewel, the Opus 475 features our patented SEB construction. Unlike traditional one- or two-piece guitar bodies, SEB (Sound Effect Body) construction combines matching top and bottom woods with a third, cross-grained wood at its center. The vibrations created by strings in wooden instruments travel faster at the center of the body than they do at the top and back. By adding this cross-grained piece at the core, sound is reflected towards the top and back of the instrument four times faster than a standard guitar, dramatically increasing note clarity and sustain.
