Me when The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 soundtrack
TENET Official Soundtrack | TURNSTILE - Ludwig Göransson | WaterTower
Sometimes it's hard to don't wanna look over your shoulder 'Cause you don't want to remember where you've been There'll come a time you die, if you could only hold her 'Cause I know that's where I am So listen with all your heart, hold it inside forever You may find all your dreams have already come true Look inside and find the part that's leading you 'Cause that's the beat of a heart Sometimes you'll drown it out with all your rage and thunder Sometimes you'll drown it out with all your tears There'll come a time when you hear it and you'll wonder "Where in the world have I been?" So listen with all your heart, hold it inside forever You may find all your dreams have already come true Look inside and find the part that's leading you 'Cause that's the beat of a heart No one can tell you how to get there It's a road you take all by yourself All by yourself, all by yourself So listen with all your heart, hold it inside forever You may find all your dreams have already come true Look inside and find the part that's leading you 'Cause that's the beat of, oh it's the sweetest sound 'Cause that's the beat of a heart

Wow I wish our everyday lives had soundtracks
Soundtrack on Soundtracks: Rainy Day edition
It was a very stormy weekend here in Los Angeles (even though the sun is now shining bright and it's friggin' hot. WELCOME TO SPRING IN CALIFORNIA, where we have no seasons!). And while many of my neighbors may complain and curse the water pouring down from the skies, I actually do quite love it. Mostly because of the reason of cuddling in my bed and watching my favorite movies and listening to a playlist I've save for a rainy day (no pun intended...okay....I lied...TOTALLY intended.)
Here are two of my favorite movies that provides the perfect soundtrack for this kind of weather (and believe me, there are going to be MANY posts on these kind of lists. This is just the first of many):
1. GARDEN STATE
Zach Braff's debut in the movie business of writing and directing GARDEN STATE (as well as starring in it along with Natalie Portman) proved to be the right direction. I remember watching a interview after he won a Grammy (that's right, Zach won a Grammy) for Best Compilation Soundtrack . This caused his musician friends to bag on him in envy because their dream of winning a Grammy would not be as easy as Braff's process of "throwing an soundtrack of music he just liked". But thank goodness he has some really good taste in music. Garden State provides a soundtrack that fits so well to the mood of the film, depressing yet inspiring with a dash of hope, that goes in par with a rainy day. The filmed helped boost the popularity of bands and artists like The Shins, The Postal Service, and Frou Frou (thanks to her song "Let Go"), while bringing back light to classic artists like Simon and Garfunkel and Nick Drake. This film appealed massively to the indie crowd, but made it's way to the hearts of mainstream movie and music lovers everywhere.
2. LOST IN TRANSLATION
Who doesn't love Bill Murray? Making his way from being a famous comedic actor to a independent quirky movie darling seemed to be a fitting move for Murray, and this movie, LOST IN TRANSLATION, really helped launched it. I absolutely love this movie. It doesn't depend on dialogue, even though there are some great lines delivered (both comedic and dramatic), it relies mostly on visuals and sound. The film's soundtrack and Japan visual shots are a treat to my senses. My favorite scene in particular is when Murray and Scarlett Johannson's characters are taken to this living room dance party in the , where I was introduced to France's PHOENIX, pre-1901. I love everything about it: the song ("Too Young") , the environment, the joy, the party. It's a beautiful movie carried wonderfully by Bill Murray.
