This might be an odd question, but how do you go about keeping a journal? I’ve always wanted to, but I feel like I don’t have anything interesting to write and/or I’ll forget to do it
I used to be REALLY good at keeping journals, but as my life got progressively busier, I sort of lost the knack. Some find bullet journals useful, since it’s less of a time commitment than writing out a big entry longhand.
What helps me is having a planner. I have one with fair-sized spaces, and I use it to keep track of my to-do’s and the things I’ve accomplished each day. This is a super simple stripped-down journaling style that works for me.
Some other options include using a notepad doc, voice apps, and making a habit of scribbling in a book just before bed. Rather than trying to tell a big long story, focus on what you did during the day, in short simple terms. Then expand on the bits that really had an impact. You can also focus on a particular journey or project and track your progress, if that’s easier.
