Hi there. I write things (here's #my writing tag). The more complete stuff makes it onto AO3 (Lizhly). The rest of it ends up here, usually in wildly disconnected snippet form. I aspire to organize these snippets together and one day post them in cohesive works, but until then: here I am.
I write fanfiction and original fiction, which I am currently attempting to wrangle into masterposts. I have a masterpost tag (#liz's fabulous fic masterpost), but you can get to most of those by following the below links.
Fanfiction
For scum villainâs self-saving system fic, see this post. (completely up-to-date!)
For omniscient readerâs viewpoint fic, see this post (completely up-to-date!)
Original fiction
Actually got a lot under here that I haven't even tried to sort yet. Maybe check out #original fiction for a wider view of it. Have been on a otome isekai/transmigration kick for the last... wow, five years? So lately my writing has focused on that.
For transmigrated as the female leadâs villain fiance, see this post (unorganized as all fuck) (general tag: #transmigrated as the female lead's villain fiance)
the mirror records (coming eventually!) (is currently under like, 3 tags) (is NOT under the tag mirror records) (need to sort them out)
the dead man and the duke (coming eventually!) (is also currently under like, 3 tags)
I love talking about my writing. If anything intrigues you, my askbox is always open -- ask me anything, anytime.
need to write 1000 words of something. i have decided to go for "A Blank Slate Regression for the Idol That Lost His Original Mindset". now i can either throw these idols in a normal situation, orrrr i could go for horror(?) shenanigans. i feel like i need to commit. what do i do.
procrastinating by experimenting with writing/narration styles, here you go
... What kind of crazy bastard would do this?
Yeah, I had to ask. The kind of person who would leave this much gold on the ground must be insane. It was piled up so high that my foot would sink up to my ankle in it if I tried walking through.
I looked down at it. Half of it was coins, but the other half was jewelry. Rings, bracelets, necklaces, whatever. None of it my style. It was probably fake. After all, who would leave actual real gold lying around like this?
A crazy bastard. Thatâs who.
You might set this up for a shoot, but the effort itâd take to gather up actual real gold would be insane. Itâs the kind of thing thatâd be done either by a CEO with more money than brains, or a CEO who had so much money that it didnât matter what a waste all of this was.
... Hey, in that case, wouldnât they still have more money than brains? How much does a human brain cost, anyway?
... Can money even buy you a brain? Damn, if it did, the maknae probably wouldnât tell me to exercise my own so much, right? Â
... Whatever. Anyway.
Some people might say it was my responsibility to take some of this. I could check if any of it was real, and if it was -- hey, I could bring it home. After all, I was the head of the household, you know? Of course I had to provide. If I had all of this, then all of my younger brothers/sons/whatever wouldnât beg me for allowance money. I could stake all of this instead of cleaning out my own bank account whenever we did events.
But I had a feeling. Something felt off.
Seriously, what crazy bastard would actually leave all of this lying around?
I trusted my gut. Actually, I didnât even need to trust my gut. Everyone else would probably think it was weird, right? Didnât it totally look like a trap? I could imagine it now. Theyâd say something like --
âAaaahhh!!! Itâs cursed! Itâs totally cursed! Hyung, donât you think itâs weird? You watch movies, donât you, hyung??? This kind of thing happens in movies!!! If you see that much money in the dead of night, isnât it completely and utterly cursed???â
Letâs ask again. What kind of crazy bastard would do something like this?
â...You think I did this?â
â... Didnât you?â
It turned out Kim Dobin thought the crazy bastard was me.
I was speechless. No, I was worse than speechless. I felt like I was so shocked I couldnât even blink properly. My eyes were already getting dry.
No, wait, fake youngest, why would you think I did this? Why would I have this much gold? Why all of this jewelry? Isnât this more of a random pirate hoard rather than anything I actually like?
Sensing my disbelieving gaze, Kim Dabin scratched the bridge of his nose awkwardly. âIsnât this all your royalty fee money?â
Was that supposed to make sense?
âHey, why would this be the money I get from royalties? Do you think they pay me with gold bricks and necklaces? Does the company pay you in gold instead of direct deposit?â
Kim Dobin waved his hands around wildly. âNo! Itâs not that! Itâs just... havenât you ever heard of the concept of filling a pool with gold and swimming around in it, luxuriating in the smell of money?â
I didnât understand the younger generation.
In the first place, I didnât read manga or watch anime, but even if I did, would this sort of thing really be understandable?
âLuxuriating in the smell of money? Lux-ur-i-a-ting? In the smell of money?â
â... I mean... itâs the money you got from your music... it makes sense to enjoy it, right...?â
âHere? Randomly? In the middle of the night? Like this? Now?â
âWell...â
From the way Kim Dobin was thinking, it seemed that he had some issues with his head. I felt the urge to resolve it with a refreshing scalp massage, but considering the situation, I refrained. Kim Dobin could obediently receive his scalp massage later.
Instead, I opened my mouth benevolently, intent on correcting the misconceptions of this poor child.
âWhy would I waste my money like that! Why would I waste my time like that! What have you been reading???â

hello, welcome to "triad guy listens to his ex's sister's monologue"
âI really donât understand it, you know?â Chen Lihua said. âWhy my brother holds on to someone like you.â
What was Wu Youxuan even supposed to say to something like this?
Chen Lihua didnât seem to care. She kept talking anyway, each syllable of her words perfectly precise, eyes sharp and intent on Wu Youxuan.
âI mean, really. If someone breaks up by text-only, theyâre already trash. Then what about you, who runs away without even sending a break up text? That makes you worse than trash, doesnât it? In that case, shouldnât you be thrown away quickly?â
â... Itâs not like I understand your brother, either.â
Chen Lihua smiled brightly. âAh, then we think the same way? In that case, how about you leave quickly? Iâll send you an early lunch box, so please go on with your life.â
â...â
âWhat? Nothing to say? I want to make myself clear, I just think you should have drawn the line cleanly. Just straightforwardly tell A-Wei you want nothing to do with him. If you canât even do that, then you should have never shown your face to him in the first place. Just stay dead, okay?â
â... Do your fans know that you speak like this?â
âHmm, well? Does that matter? Are you planning on telling them?â
i'm thinking about idol novels now. shouldn't someone like me, who has never watched a kpop video in their entire life, be less involved?
i'd like to contribute to fandom, but honestly, i don't actually know what to do with idols except either write a crossover or throw them into death games...? i feel like i live in the wrong genre...
anyway currently i'm contemplating writing a scene where my triad member guy and his ex-boyfriend's sister end up in the same gang meeting and they're just eyeing each other like what are YOU doing here aren't you a completely normal PA/actress đ€š
âWow. Wow wow wow, itâs a small world, isnât it?â
At Chen Lihuaâs casually amused remark, Wu Youxuan spun around. Just like her brother, she met his pissed-off expression with a face that said this was the best thing sheâd seen all week.
âWhat are you doing here?â Wu Youxuan hissed.
If Wu Youxuan had to run into someone he didnât want to face, it should have been Chen Liwei. Not that he was aiming for it, but at least it would have made sense. Chen Liwei had a terrible habit of trying to follow Wu Youxuan around. But Chen Lihua, of all people?Â
Chen Lihua smiled, annoyingly bright. âI could ask the same of you, you know? Arenât you a PA? Liwei said you were a PA now. What does an PA do in a gang meeting?â
âYouâre an actress, what does an actress do in a gang meeting?â
Chen Lihua shouldnât have been here. There was no reason why Chen Lihua should be smiling like she was in a fan meetup instead of a situation she could be killed.
âHmm, well, who knows? Someone like you should know well, shouldnât you?â
â... Someone like me.â
âYou know. A PA, right? Thatâs what youâre doing?â
âChen Lihua--â
âI think A-Wei would be very interested to know about this?â
anyway if you've been wondering what i've been doing for the past week, i've been reading idol novels, much to the detriment of almost literally everything else in my life.
Ray Bradburyâs short story âThere Will Come Soft Rainsâ that was written in 1950 is set on the day of August 4th, 2026 (tomorrow)!! Nowâs your chance to read it around the time itâs based in!
Audio: A recording of Leonard Nimoy reading it on Internet Archive.
at the start of every month everyone reblogs some insane poetry thatâs like âaugust has arrived and again I swallow my bones in the burning sunâ and every time Iâm like damn that makes no sense. but kind of true.

happy yaoi day. couldn't think of what fanfic to write for it, so instead you get original work while i ponder on what fanfic i can possibly come up with in two hours.
âHey.âÂ
Chen Liwei hadnât seen Wu Youxuan all day, and here he was. Right here, when Chen Liwei had given up looking for him. Â
âHey,â Chen Liwei echoed, and smiled sharply. âWhat can I do for you, Wu-xiansheng? Anything that needs to be discussed?â
The first time heâd said âWu-xianshengâ, heâd earned a little flinch. Now, there was barely a reaction. No change in Wu Youxuanâs expression, and that particular expression --
Every single time Chen Liwei had seen him, heâd been smiling. The kind of pleasantly manufactured face youâd expect, from a corporate drone.
Wu Youxuan was glaring, now. Lips pressed flat, eyes terribly intense, like Chen Liwei had, what, wronged him. What was going on in his head? Chen Liwei was the one who should be glaring.
Before Chen Liwei could say anything about it, Wu Youxuan opened his mouth. Instead of some kind of explanation for that angry face, all he said was: âCome here.â
Chen Liwei couldnât help but laugh. âWu-xiansheng wants me to listen to him?â
âJust come here,â Wu Youxuan snapped, jerking his chin towards some random alleyway before he disappeared down it. Chen Liwei was left to stare after him, feeling like somehow, heâd stepped into something ridiculous.
Honestly, he really wanted to laugh. Â
Wu Youxuan had spent a pretty good portion of high school getting dragged around by Chen Liwei. Even if he complained, he still obediently did whatever Chen Liwei wanted. It was always Chen Liwei telling Wu Youxuan what to do -- except. Except when it came to sex.
That particular commanding little jerk of his head was something Wu Youxuan only did when he was so horny he was going to drag Chen Liwei into a supply closet. Â
That couldnât actually be what Wu Youxuan wanted. But the fact that Chen Liwei was even thinking about this --Â
Who the fuck did Wu Youxuan think he was? Was Chen Liwei supposed to happily go along with it?
Chen Liwei glanced at the alley Wu Youxuan had gone down. Any normal person probably would have checked to see if Chen Liwei was actually following. But Wu Youxuan wasnât doing that. There was no movement at all, as if he was fully confident Chen Liwei was going to do as he said.
Ah, this was stupid. He really hated that he was about to prove Wu Youxuan right.Â
Unfortunately, heâd spent too much time chasing after Wu Youxuan to stop now.
