Haven’t baking a sourdough challah for some time. Sure olive oil is a great choice but it’s fun to try different oils. So I like coconut oil giving a lovely fragrance w/o overpowering coconut taste. This time I tried peanut oil. Very happy with it. Challah is dairy free and recently I tried different kind of oils for the enriched dough. Taste wise I do if not find a huge difference just nuances change. Even coconut oil though it smells lightly after coconut doesn’t gives a coconut taste. This might be due to the fact that I use golden flaxseeds for extra hydration, fibre and a nice twist. But there is a difference in the nutritional values. A 3-strand on top of a 6-strand sourdough Challah. The only change to @foodgeek.dk recipe is the added beetroot/ purple sweet potato. Obviously this was not successful it takes much more to colour deeper.
